what do you do at meetings?

i had the most awful meeting at work this morning. two hours of impossibly boring information that has absolutely nothing to do with my job. completely worthless. i'm sure i'm not the only one who has found themselves creative ways to stay awake during meetings.

i usually write out pages and pages of song lyrics. not only does it keep me awake, but it looks like i'm taking notes. today, i also wrote out some post ideas... this one, for example

I always like to draw. Though evil looking angels with broad swords and severed heads do not go over well with the people sitting next to you.

I also like to fake a seizure...I usually get a free wallet in my mouth. SCORE!

I have 2 meetings a week, both of which my presence really isn't necessary. Each meeting is at least an hour and a half of crap, I can't take it anymore. i tried hard to pay attention and follow along, but after a half hour, my attention span is all used up. i usually doodle in my notebook, sing songs in my head, think about sex.

when I am know I am headed into a a very boring meeting where my input will be none

I think about threads I want to start.

I think about britney Spears

I think about what is going on in the wwf and try to predict the storylines

I think about what made me laugh on RnF and O&A the previous day/night

I think about what I am going to eat for dinner

And I try to figure out how I can get out early without anyone noticing

I don't attend meetings, instead I attend something I feel is far worse. 2 classes a day 5 days a week. In these classes I am forced to listen to lame lectures which are so boring that I can easily fall asleep within seconds. So to keep awake and act like I'm paying attention I do the things most of you do, doodle, think about sex, and think about board topics to post or reply to. I hate listening to other people talk.

In class I stare around the room and look at people, wonder what there thinking, write on the desks, draw. Oh, and play games on my cellphone with my friends across the room.

I sweat and worry about my presentation or my Q&A segment. once that's over, i tune out the rest of the meeting and daydream.

today, I was in a meeting where two people starting fighting about bullshit, and I realized why my job drives me to drink on occassion. So I began to draw a shot glass. Then I detailed it. Then I added the liquid. The meeting sucked and I was still sober at the end.
