So I have this little drawer for change in my car. When it gets full, its usually around 20 bucks, i go to the bank and put it in that coin counting machine. today i went to the TD bank in Interstate in Ramsey.

The machine got stuck while it was counting, so the lady came, changed the bag, put everything back, and cleared the coin jam i guess. It ran through, cycled, counted what was left and printed my reciept.

Apprently, I had put exactly 148 dollars into the machine, which they gave me in cash, and I walked out. Id seriously have been lucky if i had 20 bucks this time, and oops, TD fucked up

TD seems to have a lot of computer problems lately.

Are you a customer there?

Way to give the address, BTW. Not like this is searchable or anything

Is this one of those machines that takes 9.5¢ on the dollar for counting it for you?

I finally smartened up and stopped feeding it my quarters. I started putting those is a separate jar and rolling them myself.

I'll pay 9.5¢ on the dollar to count my pennies, nickels and dimes though. It's not worth it to roll those.

If you're going to be the honest, good guy, you should return ALL of the money rather than pretending like you're doing the right thing when you're really not.

If a person wants to justify they are a good person because they only kept $40 instead of $128 doesn't make them a better person.. it just makes them more sneaky.. imo.

He did ask the bank lady if the receipt was right, she said yes, who is he to argue. :innocent:

though the coin counting machines are not really tied to their computer system had he deposited the money counted on the slip they give him then he might not have seen the money for days.
As long as my debit cards and deposits work.. auto bill pay is set up... I don't worry about seeing my balances.

The news report I saw on TV said people were getting bounced transactions. TD is paying them all back, but some of them can't use their debit cards.

the only problem I had this weekend was that my savings account could not be found at a non bank atm. Other than that no problems.

No, here is the difference. They didnt mess up and give me too much money. The machine counted and had in it 148 dollars. No one got in trouble, no one had to pay it back. That money was jammed in the machine and thats why it was sticking. It cleared through and actually counted. I just got lucky. I only called it bank error to make fun of the stupid monopoly thing

My guess...

are you saying that people who put money in before you did not get all their coins counted cause they got jammed in the machine at some point and after she cleared the jam all of their coins that were stuck end up in your pot?

that appeared to be the case, yes

though for that many coins, that seems to be a hell of a jam. Maybe it was some combo of that and the machine fuckin up. Its the computers fault. Fuck em.

They will take over the world at some point, im just gettin mine while I can

And Mendenhall finally broke out.
