Kinda late:

20/20 is doing a special on a horrific mass murder in my county 20 years ago. Ramon Salcido killed his wife, two infant daughters, his wife's mother and two sisters, and a coworker. His third daughter, who was 3 at the time, survived having her throat slashed and thrown into a rock quarry with her other two sisters who died from similar wounds. Salcido fled to Mexico, but was luckily extradited back here a short time later. I remember hearing about crowds of people on the runway waiting for a chance to spit on him when the extradition flight landed.

It's a pretty fucked up story. The surviving daughter, now 23, recently revealed that after her recovery, her grandfather sent her to live with some sort of fundamentalist catholic couple out of state and they treated her like shit. The saddest thing is that she feels as though the only father figure she's had in her life is the police officer that responded to one of the crime scenes and investigated the murders.

I know this type of thing happens all over, but it's just amazing the level of brutality someone can inflict. Mr. Salcido is alive and well on California's impotent death row.

Maybe he can be rehabilitated. Or find Jesus.

Or maybe he just stays in jail for the rest of his life.

The "finding Jesus" part was a reference to Karla Faye Tucker. Apparently when you murder people and then find Jesus, that is supposed to qualify you for getting off of death row.

Actually, I'm surprised the guy lasted this long. I would have figured killing kids would have been enough for him to have "an accident" in the showers or laundry room.

Dude!

As with other states, California's Death Row separates you from GenPop. It's the main reason why no one has taken a shot at Timmenquendas yet in New Jersey.

Well he's got the Jesus thing sewn up, he now goes by "Reverend". I would wager he is the only living Reverend to have killed seven people, including his immediate family, then profess his total lack of remorse on camera.
