Don't know how many know about these area specific sites they set up on ESPN.com, but I have a question for those that do.
A few weeks ago they ran a commercial for ESPNDallas.com on the network and one of the teams they showed were the Oklahoma Sooners. I'm not a big college football fan so maybe I'm missing something here, but how the hell does Oklahoma get lumped in with other Texas teams?
Hell, if I were a fan of the Sooners, I'd be a little put off by this.

I'm guessing there is no other major city anywhere near Oklahoma.

Dallas is actually closer to Norman than it is to Austin, which never ceases to amaze me.

You're easily amazed.

Like others have said it's very close to Norman. Also there are thousands upon thousands of OU alumni here so it makes sense.
I'm from NJ but Rutgers isn't in New York. I bet if they had an espnNY they would be included. It's the tri state area. They don't just igonre NJ and CT.

They play the game against Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl every year, which doesn't seem like very much of a good bargain on the part of Texas (even though they split the crowd 50/50 and it's at the Texas State Fair). Not to mention the fact that the Cotton Bowl is also a thousand years old and.
They should just play it at the new Cowboys stadium, where, ironically, Oklahoma opened the season at, losing to BYU

I love The Cotton Bowl as one of the classic old football cathedrals.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree.
BTW, interesting factoid: The Meadowlands Complex is actually closer to New York than FedEx field is to Washington DC and Cowboys Stadium is to Dallas.

That's very true Aggie. Comcast DC, as an example, covers Baltimore, DC, the local Maryland, Virginia and DC schools, Virginia, AND Virginia Tech (which are 100 miles and 260 miles away respectively).

I take it that was your first time seeing Xanadu?
I agree. Those multi-colored tiles make it look like the 70's threw up on exit 16W.
They really need to fix that facade... the whole Xanadu project is a boondoggle as is.
