I was watching Dexter tonite and the opening sequence was set in a church. The main villain was singing a christian hymn and the lyrics asked "Are you washed in the blood of the lamb"?
Everyone was singing it like it was no big deal and all I kept thinking was how fucking creepy that is. I mean cmon, are you washed in the blood of the lamb? I assume that's probably a metaphor for something, like the blood of jesus's love or something, but that's fucking morbid. Do you christians really sing that nonsense, and what does it mean?

You're talking about a religion that contains an Angel of Death Over Children, I'd say it's full of more morbid shit than you could rationalize

Yes, it's a metaphor. Think of it like a baptism. You wash yourself with the love of Christ. The blood that Christ shed is what makes you pure. Therefore, washing yourself with the 'blood' is equvilant of being free of sin. Or at least, being forgiven.

Where in the Bible is that stated?

The bible isn't a one-stop reference tool end-all-be-all. There's plenty of stuff not in the bible (Lilith being Adam's first wife, the Angels of Prostitution, etc) that was a part of that religion, maybe not in modern times, but just because someone down the line decided not to openly aknowledge it doesn't mean it's not a part of the religion's history.

For the record, the six Angels of Death are over Kings, Children, Youths, Animals (or pets, depending on how interpreted), Men, and Beasts

so the lamb is christ? like sacrificial lamb, christ sacrificed himself for us? did he really though? I thought he was murdered against his will...

Yes, Christ is the lamb.
Yes, Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice. There were times where he didn't want to, take for instance the time he was in the Garden and he asked for the burden to be taken from him.
To be completely honest, I'm not a hardcore Christian by any means. It's been a long time since I have gone to church and I feel that it's more about a personal relationship with God rather than religious ceremonies.

You are right. Isn't Lilith found in books regarding Jewish mysticism? It's always been a curious subject to me, considering that they just ignore it in the Bible. Wasn't she known as the first Demon?

Passover refers to the blood of the lamb. Hence the angle reference and taking of first born.
