I have worked at a heavy duty truck parts place for about 10 years, i 've worked my way up from simple delivery/warehouse to account manager/assistant manager/lead count person/do-all. I've worked my ass off over the years to make myself a valuable person to have around. The people i work with come to me before they go to the store manager most of the time. I'm the go to guy. Now, there is a guy who has worked there almost as long as I have, we'll call him CF. He is the kind of guy who will work 10 minutes then disappear to the back to smoke and tell you how the world is according to the teachings of his father (who is never wrong about anything). then he will tell you how hard he works. Customers always ask "How does he keep his job", and the reason is that the old boss was a puss and you basiclly had to kill someone to get fired. so he kind of skated by for years, well we have a new boss and he has to work hard for once and now, he's not being "treated right". We all had to take a small pay cut a few months back, company wide, to keep thing flowing. well he now has this chip on his shoulder about everything from stock, other employees, how things are ran, etc. , without trign to "fix" anything. all he does is bitch and moan. lately i have gotten VERY tired of this. not to honk my horn but i've earned what i 've got over the years, he wants it given to him. anyone else have a person like this at their jobs? a brothers open to suggestions.

Thankfully I haven't had that experience, I've never had to work with others. I'll bet everyone who does work with more then a few other people can relate a story of their own.
Ignore his bullshit the best you can and hopefully the new boss will take care of his ass in time.

I've had to work with plenty of people like this. My best advice is to ignore him. Really, some people are never satisfied. Or else say..."I don't know what you are talking about....my job is great!" with a huge smile on your face.

You could take the total evil route. Tell CF what a great job he does and how he deserves more money, perhaps convince him to ask for a raise or give the boss an ultimatum -- more money for the extra work or he walks.

I suggest you learn to use the ENTER key.
Just kidding. There are people like that everywhere. As long as he doesnt affect your job, Id just ignore him. If your new boss is a no nonsense guy the axe will fall eventually.
