I used to go to a shooting range. YES its an amazing feeling, like nothing in their right mind could ever harm you in any way shape or form.

I've never handled a gun but would personally LOVE to. I don't know it seems like an amazing feeling. I also grew up on the bond films.

Ummm...Reeshy, how about a background check?

Someday I'll think of something funny to use as a sig.

I have several good friends who shoot regularly and hunt. I'm a much bigger fan of the bow and arrow, however. There's something so primitive about it, and yet it's extremely meditative. To each his own, I suppose.

I'm a huge anti-gun advocate but I have to admit, when I did shoot (rifles and handguns) it was pretty cool.

If you are planning on doing this for a hobby, I HIGHLY suggest you keep the weapon locked up at the shooting range. There's absolutely no logical reason to take it home.

i used to go hunting with my dad before it became practically imposible to get a hunting license in jersey so i can tell you that holding and shooting a gun (a rifle in my case) is probibly the most manly you will feel unless your banging some supermodel, the raw power of the weapon, the destruction it causes, its amazing..

damn now im all worked up :P

A gun is power, and it is a tool...use it wisely. Remember that it does have the power to kill. I used to do skeet shooting competitions a few years back. Won myself a marksman trophy in the "distance" contest...that meant I shot the most targets from the furthest back that the gun can possibly hit...

When I was like 15 I went to Florida with my dad and went to a shooting range.

Shooting the handgun felt awesome!

I'm not anti gun. do i support gun control? sure. do i think we should eliminate all guns? no. Also someday i'd like to own one. not a giant rifle or a shotgun but a simple handgun I can carry on me.

How much do shootuing ranges cost if yo don't have a gun?

the Nassau county range(over by NCC) charges $15 i think. I used to go for free when I was with INS. And they give discounts to Nassau residents.

By the way, I don't use one of those fancy "compound" bows with the pulleys and sights and all...I'm talking recurve all the way...completely basic, like what the American Indians (or "Native Americans"-don't want to offend anyone) used. So awesome.

Rifle shooting is fun and easy to learn.

Though if your state has carry laws, a pistol can be useful. HeHe

It is a good feeling, but I only had a .22 caliber rifle. What do you want a gun for?

I carry a gun every day as part of my job. I find no particular thrill with having them or shooting them. I really dont like them.

when i was 9 i went to the armory in Peekskill and they let us hold M-16's w/ 'nade launchers on em. At the time it was really cool, now im a little disturbed that they were handing kids assault rifles w/ grenade launchers.

I learned everything i need to kno about guns from counter strike.

My father was a cop, and I used to handle his Issued Gun...I liked it, even as a kid. I always wanted one, and now I want one to take to the shooting range. I want a nice 9mm...

I'm not a gun nut. But I've been getting literature from the NRA. I'm practically sold.

As for stalking, I'm more of a stabbing type guy. (no I'm not going to become OJ)

Guns are a way of life in many parts of the country. I have visited family in the South and Midwest and it's all about respect and responsibility. I tried hunting, I would rather shoot pictures.

I'm with Reeshy on this one - I have a target license but I do not "own" a gun - & quite frankly, Helen does not want one in the house - BUT - to shoot targets (I"m not into hunting) is allright - just like a sport - But to get off on the "power" - then I think there is a problem & you shouldn't get one for any reason - you're thinking wrong -- Power doesn't come from a gun - it comes from you !!!!
