Hasn't he hinted enough that he's not making enough to support his family. He's obviously a valued member of the show, PAY HIM. Mileage, cost of living, Christmas bonus or something, geez :glurps:

You didnt hear this from me, but Ronny has been sued several times for labor law violations. He makes his employees work off the clock, he has 15 year olds doing overnight shifts and I hear the guy who cleans the studio bathrooms is in the country illegally and Ronny pays him $3 an hour under the table.

Good luck, Dave.

... ron has allowed dave to hone a marketable talent. It is up to dave to take
advantage of said skill.sure, its scarry. Ron is not obligated, and may not even want dave that close to him. Let the sparow fly...isn't that what being a parent/mentor all about?

You never make good money at your first job. It rings true for everyone. Dave and the Mad Dog 2010.

...maybe if dave was actually serious about voice over work, as opposed to half ass...he could bundle his talent, but I think drinking is to important to him.
...of course, if he broke loose and built somthing on his own. You've got to build somthing to sell it....and somtimes you have to walk away from the table.

unfortunately Mr. B isn't the one who gives the raises. HR should really look at Dave's work and see the improvement from crazy stunt boy to "third" mic.

I don't understand why everybody decided to joke and rip on dave in this thread. Do you think he doesn't deserve to make a great salary for what he does? I understand the talent (hosts) are the main attraction on these shows, but he is much more than a producer. I have no clue what ronnie or fez pull down a year, but i'm sure its light years ahead of what dave is making and he is alot more than just a behind the scene producer.

Ron doesn't pay Dave.

Sirius/XM does.

You're crazy if you think both Ron AND Fez haven't gone to bat for him.

Dave should be paying Ronnie for all the airtime he wastes.

You got a round number to give to a company that was recently almost bankrupt? Go ahead, ballpark it.

why doesn't casey just manipulate sirius/xm management to give him half a million a year?

That's the problem. Both Ron and Fez would love to pay him more. He should have gone to law school if he wanted to h
get rich.

The way radio talent gets treated infuriates me. Stupid sirius/xm overpays people who aren't even radio broadcasters, Martha Stewart, Oprah, tons of money. Is the money made back? No. Real radio talent like Dave is treated like garbage. He's not even paid for the weekend show he does.

Ron doesn't have anything to do with what Dave gets paid, that is all XM/Sirius. The good news is they are letting Dave work an extra three hours a week for the same pay, very generous!

I hope for the sake of the Dave, his family, and the R&F show that he lands a gig on terrestrial. I'm sick of him dominating the show. Too bad Special Delivery is unlistenable.

I have a large amount of respect for Dave. I met him once in studio, and he struck me as the nicest guy you'd ever come across. He went from delivering flowers to working his dream job. He heard the Ron and Fez show, decided he wanted to work with them, and then went to school, got the credentials, and sure as shit got the exact job he wanted. Hell, he got more than he wanted, since he now amounts to a full 48% of on-air personality on the show. Someone with that kind of drive and accomplishment should be rewarded with enough money to live on, plus a little pocket change at least.

Regardless of who pays him, I hope he does get a raise. The guy more then earns it.

Sirius was paying an intern and giving him a hotel room to do a saturday night show.
But, now ESD and Sam are not getting paid for their show?

I think Ellis (not a shot at him) has as large of a staff at R&F. Sirius is treating R&F, not just ESD, like a red headed step-child.

You are absolutely right. he does deserve to get paid more. it's a shame that it's not realistic for him to expect to get more money while he works for Ron and Fez.

We have no idea what Dave makes. He's probably fairly compensated for what he was hired for.

If he chooses to use his time on air to promote himself as a brand and get heat, that's free publicity. You don't get paid for time on air or quality of work done there.

Im pretty sure he was hired as a producer, and now hes a genuine 3rd mic. Not because hes trying to promote himself, but because thats what the show needed. As a reward for that help a pay raise would be in order.

Also, if they are going to use his show as a regular Saturday night staple, then payment for that should also be given. Its one thing when youre just giving someone a shot, but theres a point when it stops being "giving someone a shot" and starts being "taking advantage of a guy trying to make his bones".
