So, today was my sister's birthday. A small portion of my family met at my Mothers to celebrate. After my sister opened her gift she went over and gave my wife a thank you kiss and then she started walking towards me to give a kiss. The table was between us and she'd have to move a chair to get to me, so I wanted to just say "it's ok, don't bother moving the chair, you're welcome." Instead I akwardly waved to her and said "goodbye". My sister started laughing hysterically because she knows I did this unintentionally and it was SO weird, however I'm a bit concerned. Am I off my fucking rocker? It was a very strange moment.

If you're not off your rocker now, you will be driven crazy by the multiple times you will relive this embarrassing moment in the coming months. It gave me the douche chills.

It was SO fucking weird! Eventhough I was around the people who are closest to me in my life I was still extremely embarrassed.

It's always more embarrassing around family.

If you're family is like mine, they'll refer to it constantly, and use the wave and "goodbye" as a catch phrase. *sigh* I need a new family. Don't worry about it, we all have weird ways of handling awkward situations. At least your's doesn't involve bodily fluids...not that mine does either...I'm just sayin...

Nah you're cool. A little slow, but cool.
That's like me almost everytime I go out to dinner. The server always brings the food, says "Enjoy your meal.", and I ALWAYS say "THank you, you too!" like an asshole. I don't know if this man or woman is going back to a meal. Perhaps they are starving.

Happens to me all the time! I always say the wrong thing and the wrong time. I feel like I am Brian Regan a lot. I am just like this:

Avoid family as much as possible. In the long run it will make you a happier, healthier person.

Eh, I'm a loon and at family gatherings my unintentional silliness just gets worse. I blame mental illness and my family's inherent warped sense of humor.

At that point I would have walked out the front door and gone home. Its the only way you wouln't have looked like an ass.
