I don't watch this show all the time but do catch reruns when nothing else is on so obvioulsy I'm missing plot points.
I just saw an episode where the geeky guy ( who I think either already had or does have a prblem w/ his eye sight ) got fired.
From what I could gather he must've tampered w/ evidence or something that caused a wrong/tainted conviction.
What's the background there ?
I'm sure I've seen later episodes w/ him still a cop.

I watched the original series quite religiously but Miami with fuckin David Caruso makes me change the channel instantly. I think that fucker has scoliosis or something because his head is parallel with the ground.
Sorry I don't guess that was very helpful
but Happy Birthday anyway

I agree, the reason I don't watch the show regularly is because of the cast.
Caruso and the fake David Blaine guy really get on my nerves.
Thanks for the birthday shout.

I'm not sure if it's the same guy, but I remember an episode when they were searching a locker and the guy opened it up and a nail or staple gun that was rigged to fired shot into his eye and not sure if he's eyesight fully returned.

Yep, that's the guy.
In the epidode I saw he was getting crap from Caruso about something and then next thing you know at the end of the episode he was coming back into work and some other guy, not a regular that I recognized, told him he couldn't come in and that he needed his badge and gun because he was fired.
The fired guy then said something about " I did it all to protect the people in this building. "
And then the guy that fired him told him that " Thanks to you they'll be reopening every case. "

i used to watch it all the time, but have really fallen off lately.
i'm not sure if he got fired cause he was talking to the press. i think after he got fired he actually became a correspondent for a while for the news station, but then wound up getting his job back some how. but yeah, he's the same one who got near his eye with a nail gun.
he also got in trouble once cause he had a gambling problem.
the show was becoming really soap opera-like with the shit they were putting eric (the spanish dude) through. i'm kinda happy he's gone now.
i miss rory cochrane though.

yeh they had him fired from csi but still on the show cause he was like a private eye or something and eventually horatio was able to get him back on the force but i dont remember how that happened

Yeah I remember seeing a more current episode and he was a cop again.
Almost like he was more of a real cop than the other clowns because he seemed to have an attitude of being better than them.

why does that red head guy always have the dramatic scenes where he turns to the side then he turns his head over his shoulder and start talking?
he's nutty.
and vincent donofrio on that other show? uggghhh
the only one i can deal with is the one with larry fishburn...just because they skip all the really annoying speeches.

Goren from L&O:CI is fantastic.
Not so much in the last few seasons but very much so for the 1st few seasons.

So I'm watching an episode tonight and that POA Ava LaRue shows up at a crime scene, that she's knows is a bathroom, wearing an almost all white outfit ... complete w/ high heels of course.
Then they find out that something was flushed down the toilet and that one herb that gets fired/goes blind is taking apart the plumping, on the next floor, looking for evidence.
As if that idiot would know where to find the corresponding pipes and how to remove them without ruining the entire building.
