I bought my parents a DVD player for their bedroom and a couple of boxed sets I thought they may enjoy.

It really does get more and more difficult to figure out what the hell to get them.

At that age, I assume they've accumulated "stuff" and are at a point where they are looking to rid themselves of clutter and shit.

So what do you give an old person or someone with alot of stuff/money?

Maybe convert all their old vhs home movies to disc.

Maybe hire a cleaning crew to clean their house.

If you love your father, tickets to a football game.
If you hate him, ballroom dancing lessons to take with his wife.

How do you feel about buying gifts that the recip would like but also that you will benefit from?

Aside from like tickets, lessons and fun stuff like that, it's difficult.
