When you buy a new electronic item, it usually comes with a product registration card. Do you usually mail that in or do you throw it out?
I just bought a $12 nose hair trimmer from Norelco and it had it in the packaging. Even though its a postage paid card, I will probably not fill it out or mail it.
I have actually never needed to get a repair on a product within the warantee period anyway.
But I did send it in for big ticket items like a computer or TV.
Is there a value threshold that you go by too? To me its like $40 or less value.

I can't be bothered with those things. I figure they only use it for market research or compiling a mailing list anyway.

Now about that nose hair, rip it out like a man.

They have nothing to do with a warranty, which is given upon purchase. If you need extra junk mail for starting the fire, or are lonely and want people to call you and pretend to like you, send 'em in.

I only register big ticket items.

Computers, TVs, iPods, etc.

Nothing else.

I only registered my cameras. The rest, nope.

The warranty promised on a product is given upon purchase, and proof of purchase is used to make claims on the warranty. The registration cards do not activate it, or give you better warranty service. If the warranty is limited, and states that you must register the product, then that is a different story.

As others have said, I only fill out that registration if it's part of the warranty.

I'll fill them in only if available online (which now 99% of them are). I don't expect any additional warranty but there have been occasions where I've received product recall info. I provide the same fake name, address and phone number for all of them. The email address used is the one set aside for all dodgy online stuff where most of what I receive is spam.

I think he uses it to tidy up his shit hole

No thanks.

I register whatever I need to for warranty purposes. If it is a small ticket item that I would just replace then no.

Nope, never. If my item goes to shit I just go out and buy another brand.

If it is on-line registration and quick I will register stuff and will do so with expensive stuff, but I am not paying to register anything and even if they pay the postage will not bother with anything under $100.
