Why is that when using chrome, if I post in a thread and after the thread page loads from the bottom, showing my thread as the last one, when I use the scroll bar to scroll to the top to use the "New Posts" link, then release the scroll bar to move the cursor to the link, it slides all the way to the bottom, and I have to scroll back up a second time?

Are you letting the page load before scrolling up?

After you post the URL changes so you start where you posted.

if you scroll up, then move the cursor to the left before releasing your left-click, it will drop back to the bottom. release your left-click sooner, you're probably rushing.

also, just keep one tab dedicated to new posts and open any you want to read in additional tabs. then you don't have to scroll up at all.

Good idea, I will adopt this procedure.
