RIP Vic Chesnutt

The great singer/songwriter from Athens, GA, committed suicide earlier today. He apparently was in a coma for a few hours, but I just read that he indeed died.

Just saw Ted Leo and he dedicated "Timorous Me" to Vic. He seemed a little emotional about it all. Good moment.

Just saw Vic Chesnutt a few weeks ago when he was playing with Guy (from Fugazi) and the Silver Mt Zion/Godspeed You Black Emperor crew as his backing band. It was a fantastic show, and he seemed pretty genuinely enthused about the performance. I guess he had a lot more inner turmoil than he wanted to show publicly.
