It seems to happen time and time again without explanation; You will misplace and item of value to you, and go crazy tearing your house apart trying to find it to no avail. Then, someone will suggest you say a prayer to Saint Anthony and you think its silly and hocus pocus and offer a prayer anyway and lo and behold, the damn thing gets found! My father lost his wallet on Christmas and looked every where, retracing his footsteps and going back and forth to the store, inside and outside his car, in the house, in the closests, from top to bottom he turned the house upside down. Checked the garbage, the fridge, the freezer, the couch, turned the cushions over, everywhere. In desperation he prays to Saint Anthony and within minutes BOOM, there it is, right on the floor under his chair. He went over that area a dozen times. How does this happen? Anyone else experience such a miracle?

Detective Santangelo knows just how you feel. It was St Anthony who wanted to help him
I remember the story of some distant cousin whose parents couldn't find him. So his parents prayed to St. Anthony and they found him locked in an old refrigerator he was hiding in before he suffocated to death. They were so grateful they found him in time, they named their next son Anthony.

When you're frustrated and frantic looking for something, like a wallet or a kid, you're not focusing or thinking logically. Then you take a break. Whether or not you say a prayer or not doesn't make a difference. You'll have a better chance to think and see more clearly, and that's why you sometimes find what you're looking for in a place you already looked. Nothing miraculous about it.

How does one finding their wallet under a chair qualify as a miracle?

Silly, St. Anthony finds things, not takes them.
And even he couldn't find Marc's soul.

I have to admit I do this every time and it always seems to work. Last Saturday during the blizzard my wife came to me crying that one of her earrings dropped out. The earring alone was worth $1100. I felt bad so I didnt want to make a big deal about it. She said she had lost it somewhere on a trip to the store and I had to explain that losing a diamond in a snowstorm, youre pretty much fucked.
So she looked around the house anyway just in case she dropped it in here and found nothing. So I tell her to say the prayer to Saint Anthony and she does, when she goes to her car their it is on the floor of the drivers side. She and I had both driven the truck before that and hadnt seen it.
I also find that saying a Hail Mary when looking for a parking spot seems to work every time.

I lost my wedding ring about a month ago and I have yet to find it. One of my wifes coworkers asked if I prayed to st. Anthony, I have not since I'm not catholic but I have the prayer and I'm going to give it a shot. I've lost this ring about 6 times before but have found it within a few days. If it turns up after the prayer I told my wife I'll become a catholic and geet our kid baptized.
