Listening to commercial radio today, I was reminded of some of the awful music that is destroying our world. I just wish many of these bands/artists would just go away.

Then I heard the band that was my immediate pick: Weezer. What a fucking, lazy one-trick band they are. The only time they bothered to evolve (Pinkerton), they ran away from it like girls. Their entire career, they've given us the same crappy "pop" song in repeat.

I wish they would just go away to never be heard from again. Who do you pick to go away and why?

Animal Collective.

I really gave them a chance because I heard so many great things about them, but I can't stomach their music. Every time I see their new album on yet another best of the year list, it reminds me that I don't get them at all. There is music I don't like, but I understand why other people do. I don't even get that far with Animal Collective.

What a strange thing to say. So, it seems that you wish commercial demise upon people who sing things that you don’t agree with. Why is that? Who else would you like to see go away?

It took me many listens but I love them now. Their new EP is fantastic, but I can completely understand how someone could not like or even hate the music. It's very strange.

Not a band per say, but an individual artist (I use the word artist very lightly).

This kid named Justin Bieber was on the Dick Clark New Year's Eve show and Christ, that was AWFUL. He needs to be stopped before he really takes off.

we couldn't be more opposite. Weezer is great. This last record was kind of ho hum but as a whole Weezer rocks.

I LOVE Animal Collective and yet I can't stand at least 40% of all their albums pre-Merriweather Post Pavillion, and probably about 90% of their first few albums.

I hope the Black Eyed Peas contract the Ebola virus and die a horrible blood leaking from their ass death. Preferably they try to milk a bit more cash out of their fans and attempt one last concert while their infected and spray the crowd with highly infectious ooze in their death throes.

Bon Jovi needs to go away and not come back.

I don't know why or how this band still sells out 70,000 seaters and stadiums across the globe but... they need to be stopped.
I don't want their plane to go down. That would only make them more popular.

I have to respectfully disagree.

The Michael McDonald version of While you Wait for the Others is enough to keep me on board with Grizzly Bear.

Plus I kind of like the Frenchmen from Phoenix realizing some success.

And I'll probably get the new Vampire Weekend record when it comes out.

I don't mind lip syncing if the entertainer is dancing and moving around alot with costume changes. Anyone who goes to a Britney Spears show expecting her to sing live and sound like her studio album is dumb anyway. Explore your world, it's bigger than real musicians and singers.

I am only 35 and I miss the days where men and women would stand at the mic and sing. Perhaps I am just spoiled, but I saw NIN at Woodstock 94 and that set changed my life. To see Trent in the rain singing to his gods or to his demons, while singing Closer... good lord, or to see Trent and Bowie doing their thing, or The Cure Unplugged, or any Cure show, or shit anything is better then paying 200 bucks for a fashion show. I mean seriously that's what magazines are for.

If you want to see costume changes and lots of moving around take in a musical, at least you will be giving some money to actual culture. It's a big world don't settle for mediocrity or shit entertainment.

Nostalgia is great, but if you open your eyes and look around you'll see there's still acts today that fit that bill.

I'm not going to blindly criticize the genre of music you prefer, so is it fair for me to ask you not to make assumptions about my musical tastes? I'm speaking in generalizations of course.

I think it's great NIN and The Cure spoke to you so beautifully, but understand what you may consider "shit entertainment" just might move others in a way you'll never understand.

I enjoy and appreciate many styles of music and entertainment and hardly consider myself one to settle for mediocrity or shit entertainment as you so open mindedly call it.

I have loved many talented "real" muscians based solely on the fluidy of their music, their amazing lyrics, sheer technical talents, ability to tell a story in 3 minutes or for any number of reasons. But I also love to just have my eyes and ears entertained for a short period, not think too much and have fun.
