Hammersavage and I put together a bar crawl on Saturday, February 27th in Tribeca(downtown NYC). Four bars - one night - many drinks. Start time is 9:00 pm. Here’s the schedule.

9:00-10:00pm The Patriot Saloon - 110 Chambers Street
10:00-11:00pm - The Raccoon Lodge - 59 Warren Street (between Broadway & Church St)
11:00 pm-midnight - Lilly O’Brien’s - 67 Murray Street
Midnight - ? - Dakota Roadhouse - 43 Park Place


Why a bar crawl?

mikeyboy: I always thought, uh, the Village was more the dope spot.

hammersavage: Back in their day, this place was a real contender, but now they'll appreciate the business. They'll probably fall all over themselves for a couple of high-class guys like me and you. Now, we're not... - You want to be fresh on the scene, right?

mikeyboy: The new places down on the strip, now, those places are supposed to be it.

hammersavage: Oh, Mike, you don't want all that fuckin' Pirate of the Caribbean horseshit, or the rock and roll grunge tip. You know, guys like me and you gotta kick it here. Old school.

mikeyboy: Yeah, this is... This is truly old school.*


That’s right. We’re going old school. Some of the very first Ron & Fez related social events were bar crawls, so we thought it would be a good idea to go back to that for that night.


Why a bar crawl in February?

February will mark the ten year anniversary of Ron & Fez’s start broadcasting in New York City, which seems like a perfect opportunity to have an old school bar crawl.

While February might not seem like an opportune time to schedule an event where you walk from bar to bar. The bars are roughly a short block apart, so you’ll likely spend less time traveling from bar to bar than the smokers will spend outside having a cigarette.


Are these tony, upscale Manhattan bars with velvet ropes, cover charges and overpriced drinks?

Absolutely not. These places are dive bars and pubs with reasonably priced drinks.


Is this a ronfez.net only party?

Absolutely not. All are welcome and encouraged to come.

Anyway, that’s it. We’ll announce the first bar once it is confirmed. We’ll try to pull together some good info on travel/parking, route map, and places for dinner if you would like to show up early.
