Alone or with others?

When drinking, do you enjoy being with others or being by yourself?

I understand that one of them often raises eyebrows, but lets just disregard that for the moment.

Drinking with others can be fun, but drinking alone can be peaceful.

Drinking with others can be annoying and drinking alone can be, well, lonely.

Both. Either way works for me, but it also depends on the crowd. I can't go somewhere with someone I know is going to be a pain in the ass. That's when I tell them to go sit over there, next to AJ.

You should drink with strangers. That way you're with people but also somewhat alone.

At one point I found I was drinking by myself every night for about over a year, and I realized that I was developing a serious problem. I began noticing that I was noting the locations of liquor stores, and when I was with people, I would count the hours until I could be alone to drink.
When I came to that realization, I know it was trouble and I just stopped drinking entirely. I have not drank since because I know that I can very easily fall back into that habit.
One thing I do not ever want to be is a bum on the street.
All of my leanings were pulling me in that direction and I vowed to never slip into that again.
