MacGruber! He's making a full length motion picture out a flimsy premise that could barely carry a thirty second sketch. MacGruber!

Blame everyone who linked Dick in a Box, and Cupcakes bullshit, and Natalie Portman raps and all that shit that really wasnt funny but got a million hits on YouTube.

Because there is no God, there is no justice, and Lorne Michaels secretly hates all Americans.

Like every other SNL movie. Some worked, some were shit. I think this will work, actually.

The thing is, though... the whole basis of the skit is that it's like 60 seconds long, and always ends in an explosion.
How do you stretch out a joke like that for a feature-length movie?
...and you know it's gonna end with an explosion.
I smell another SNL stinker.

Also, the money spent on making this movie could've gone to Haiti. Or cancer research.
But no. The world needed a MacGruber movie.

I saw it at a preview screening and I'm telling you, I was surprised. It's funny as hell. Totally over the top.
If it includes this I am so there.

I just saw the extended trailer for this, and let me say that I am excited!
It seems funny that he's supposed to be this super spy with all kinds of skills, but he's actually kind of bumbling and stupid, but it's lucky that he's got some selfless sidekicks that pull him through with their unrecognized heroics. I have a feeling that at the end of the movie, the main funny guy gets some sort of recognition for his saving of the day, and he doesn't even mention or realize that he succeeded because of his sidekicks. I also hope that the sidekicks give a knowing look to each other like "Oh, McGruber! He's incorrigible!" when that happens. And can you believe Val Kilmer is in it?! OMG, I bet he's got all kinds of generic, recycled lines and gags, but because it's Val Kilmer saying it, it's gonna be so fucking funny! I hope at one point, he pays homage to Dr. Evil, because that would make me think about Austin Powers and how fucking funny that was, and it will raise the level of McGruber to that of really fucking funny. I can't wait for this funny fucking fun fest.

I just rented this (really because there was nothing else at Blockbuster that I wanted to see). Tedious. I even tried listening to the commentary track, sometimes they're funnier than the movie. Not this time.
I want Lorne Michaels to personally reimburse me the $5.35 I paid plus the cost of gas back and forth to the video store. Also, Michaels has to let me have the use of Abby Elliott for the amount of time of my life lost due to this movie.

I thought it was funny.
Started out slow but, as soon as he blew up his "A team" and begged for his job back... it got funny, and it stayed funny until the end.
