Though I've been to many Emergency Rooms for many reasons (most involving alcohol), I have fortuneatly never had anything that would warrant an extended stay in the hospital.

What's the worst thing that ever landed you in a hospital? Mine was a fractured pelvis sustained during a High School Football Game.

The weather up here is fine. Thank you for asking.

I think I was like 9 or 10 and I was riding my scooter on my street and hit a bump, few over my handlebars and landed on my mouth.

My four front teeth were completly fucked up, so I had to go and get them fixed. All in all it was a good thing because we sued the people that made the bump (poor construction) and I got $18,000 when I turned 18.

a few weeks after i was born i got bronchitis and almost died, i was in the hospital for a while then...since then the worst was when they had to glue the tip of my finger back on, or when i bruised my ribs in a football game and couldnt breathe

Longest stay I have ever had in a hospital was when I was an out patient for my knee surgury. I was there for about a total of 5-6 hours.

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Damn, I thought I was finally getting an appreciation post of my very own and that James just Misspelled it. DAMN!!! Oh Well.

I have had 5 operations in my life (3 once in 6 months including one that I "died" during)

I hate hospitals.

In 5th grade my lung collapsed, and I was in the hospital for a week.

And I was almost admited into a psychiatric ward once, but they decided I didn't need it.

In 1987 my wife and i were driving from Kearney to the turnpike about 2am and WHAM!
A car had lost control and smacked us head on(somewhat) He actually came in to us with his drivers side...
I never hit the brake because I never saw his headlights...
I wound up with a broken jaw(no seatbelt), lost 7 teeth, and a bunch of stitches on hand, leg, lip got split to where you could see my jawbone... My wife hit the windshield, got a bunch of glass in the forehead and a deep cut in her leg...
I spent 7 days in the Kearney hospital...
But I guess it could have been alot worst, the driver of the other car was DOA...
It wasn't my fault, he was speeding and lost control, there was a trucker who witnessed the accident...

Scary...

i was in the hospital 3 times. none of which i had to stay overnight. once for a mild concussion, another for dislocating my shoulder. the scariest for me was over the summer. i was bounching on a trampoline with our friend, Just Jon, and we wacked heads...his thick head slammed into my lower lip and i needed 5 or 6 stiches, there was a whole through my lower lip.

Ahhh hospitals...

When I was two, a dog ripped half of my face off and I was in the hospital for a week. I had to get over 200 stichtes. In 6th grade, I was in the hospital for a week with Lymes Disease, in 7th I was in for 4 days for Meningitis. Age 14 i was in for a few days with a bleeding ulcer. Between the ages of 15 and 19, I was hospitalized about twice a year (3-4 days each time) with recurring kidney infections (I once had a 105 fever!). I hate the hospital. Oh and I was in a mental hospital for 2 weeks when I was 15. Those are the WORST kind of hospitals. I'm a sickiehead

When I used to work at a machine shop One day I was on the sheer which in case you dont know what it is, it cuts metal into certain length, before the acutal blade comes down, thes hydrolic hammers come down to hold the metal in place, Little did I kow my right midlle finger was underneath one of these things, and the hammer came down at over 500PSI, exploding my finger. I started to hop up and down and all I remeber yelling out was "HOSPITAL HOSPITAL" over and over again. I stayed over night at the hospital where they druged me up with demerol for the pain. Damn that was some good stuff!

In Sept 2000 I was admitted for an inflamed appendix. I was operated on and I had to stay for 4 days I think. It hurts so much to do anything after you have that kind of surgery. When I got home I stayed in bed for days and cried because I couldn't move.

My longest hospital stay was subsequent to my 3rd back surgey (close to 4 weeks).

By my 16th admission they had named a lounge after me!
