Don Geiss wouldn't do that.

Don Geiss wouldn't do that.

Sounds like something Artie from The Larry Sanders Show would do, though. These are serious felonies, no slap on the wrist for something like this.

He's going to need a defense attorney who uses at least 7.8% of his brain to get him out of this one.

I saw this yesterday. Christ, this guy has a serious drinking problem. I wonder how drunk you would have to be to think that robbing a bank was a good idea.

Rip Torn's defense is he thought he was in his house. Strangely enough, I believe him.

Rip Torn was so intoxicated last Friday night that he believed he was in his own home when he was arrested brandishing a loaded revolver at a local bank, the actor's lawyer said Monday. "Obviously, he wasn't there intending to commit a crime," A. Thomas Waterfall told a judge at Torn's arraignment hearing in Superior Court in Bantam, Connecticut.

According to an arrest report, police responded to an alarm at the Litchfield Bancorp in Salisbury around 9:45 p.m. Friday and found Torn inside "walking around in the lobby of the teller area." He had shattered a window to get into the bank and a pair of boots was found lying on the floor. Torn was acting "highly intoxicated,"

How is it possible this man in the green shirt is actually Rip Torn and he is fighting Norman Mailer in the movie Maidstone? They do not even seem like the same people, yet they are.

The bank looks just like a house. I saw it on TMZ tv show.

So what did he do, have his gun in his actual house and walk out with it, but later on, somehow mistakenly walk into the bank with the gun?
It does not add up.
Did he have the gun in his car? Did he drive there drunk?
How far is this bank from his house? Have you ever been so drunk that anything remotely like this has ever happened to you?

You're right, Rip Torn was really trying to rob a bank and being drunk was just a cover

Im not saying he was trying to rob the bank either, I think he is just a whack job and was motivated by insanity to behave like this and the alcohol allowed him the excuse to justify his actions in his mind. He has been on a downhill spiral for a while. He needs help, but that does not excuse his actions.

Look at him being arrested the last time he was drunk, listen to him:

He's probably one of those guys that always has his gun on him or in his car (I have an 85 year old family member like that). He took his boots off too when he was in there, maybe he did think he was home. I've seen some old drunks do crazy things.

Maybe he's got some dementia that is amplified by the alcohol, I don't know. Any rational person knows all the money in a bank is put in the vault at night anyway.
