Their love for Leno is gooey and a bit repulsive.

WE GET IT.

Why do they feel to constantly defend him? If they were truly comfortable with the situation, you'd think they would leave it alone.

Jimmy keeps bringing it up so he can be brought onto the Tonight Show with the same gig. The only reason they keep talking about it. It's already over, a done deal. No one cares anymore. But Jim.

It's really sickening. Kimmel's monologue about Jay ratting him out to Oprah was great stuff, but they can't even see the funny in that, pretending it's some kind of more childish than usual situation for them.

The only support for Jay I've heard is on O&A.

Jim has been pretty biased, but he made an incredibly salient point yesterday.

This Team Conan stuff is nonsense. I have friends that are "Team Conan", and they NEVER watch late night TV. I actually don't know anyone that does watch late night TV, and if they do, it's cause they don't have cable and are lonely and bored. It fucking stinks.

People just like getting behind things. They don't care about the show, and probably didn't watch it before the "controversy" happened. They just see it as a changing of the guard gone wrong, and it's "old" beating "young".
Norton really nailed that point.

What really bugs me about the whole thing is that Jim tries to act like the arbiter of what is a good argument and what isn't when he is the most biased individual in the argument by far. No one else is taking money from Conan or Jay. And then when they went into that tangent about how its generational and the reason Conan fans want Jay to go away is because they didn't play competitive sports as children, well, that conversation reached new levels of idiocy for the show.

But there is only comment they keep on repeating that exposes just completely full of shit they are about he whole thing and that's when they start saying that Conan should have been listening to executives about how to mainstream his show. That comment is so patently ridiculous, especially considering it's coming from fucking Opie and Anthony, that I still have to convince myself they actually said it.

Yeah, when they're talking about Leno, they suddenly act like there's something noble about being a company man and just doing what you're told. I really wonder how they'd be talking about this if Jim weren't around.

That infuriated me they kept saying "That's a GREAT point man!" I was screaming at my radio NO IT FUCKING ISN'T. It's a shitty point!

Zombieland was terrible, but Wolverine Origins wasn't that bad.

And yesterday I fell into the riveting 'not enough white people at the grammys' conversation.

I really only drop into the show when it is a total artistic wasteland.

I hope yesterday's debate on feminism with the pornstar makes it to the weekend replay. It was so riveting and logical that I want to hear it 5 more times before the week is out. As a matter of fact, I hope they book more pornstars, because they make for great radio. I hope they get naked in studio, and they boys ask them about anal sex and when they first had sex, and if they swallow. Workhorses, onward!!

I think he was re-stating the opinions from O&A today. I could be wrong though, I didn't listen today.

Tell Anthony that, because he thought it was decent. Previous posts were right, I was restating the insanity of the show. I really liked Zombieland, which was somehow a Superbad ripoff.

Sorry I compared you to Anthony.

When they talk about the arts, I just zone out. They have terrible, terrible taste.

I tapped out of the show around thanksgiving it seems like I'm not missing much. I have to ask you guys why are you still listening? No one is writing in anything that they are liking about O&A.

Then why do you care what we think? I listen every day and am entertained. And even if you fell out, why should your preference for entertainment line up with every other person? Just curious. Who really gives a shit?

I don't care what you or anybody thinks. I looked at the thread and saw primarily complaints, I was curious as to why would someone listen to something that they seem to not enjoy. I'm not judging anyone here, nor am I attacking the show. I lost interest so I stopped listening.

I'll admit my enjoyment of the show has greatly diminished. But I do still enjoy parts of the show, mainly when Jimmy and Anthony get going back and forth on some dark comedy, and I really enjoy the rotating comics that come through (Burr, Patrice, Voss, Bobby). I was willing to forgive a lot of the content I didn't like, but when they ruined the weekend on 202 with their Stern-esque ego fest of replaying the same shit over and over, I lost a lot of interest and respect.

I don't think the same replay all weekend long is an ego thing, I think its a lazy thing. All Samnerik do is gather whatever c-list hacks they had on the show that week and replay it. They never play anything funny, they just re-run the interviews.

The Steve C bash-fests are some of the funniest things I've heard in awhile from the show.

I am so burned out on the lengthly producer bashing on the show. I don't enjoy listening to staff arguments on the air.

I meant more the historical quotes from last week and whatever that was from today. The legit arguments get old once they start going around in circles, which tends to happen quickly.

That's a fair statement. I just want to see a return to the fun show I used to never miss and now never catch.

I thought it was a Sirius thing. I could have sworn they were complaining on the air several months ago about how they can't just do straight replays anymore.

There's no way it easier than just replaying the whole shows from the week, which was 5000 times better than replaying boring celebrity interviews and drunken mucousy homeless somehow being mistaken for good singers. When you work on the weekends, it is unlistenable, especially Saturday. I'm sure truck drivers are loving the weekends too.

Yeah. I think it's something the Sirius suits are making them do. They tried to get R&F to do it too, but they were able to get out of it because they are understaffed.
