I'll be rooting hard for Russell, but coming out of 1 Survivor right into another might be a lot for his body to take. Although its only for the best if they started shooting before the current cast could watch his season.

I'm surprised they're listing Sugar as a hero. I really liked her, and thought she deserved more credit, but everyone I know hated her. Also, is Pavarti normally that chubby or did she plump up strategically beforehand?

Killer episode tonight.

Russell's back up to his evil shenannigans - burying the machete and planning to hide Boston Rob's "B hat" (Great! I always hated that fucking thing. Oh boy - are you 'Boston Rob'? What a douchebag).

Coach was in top form, and never fails to entertain as his usual blustering asshole self - roaring over his 'win', only to eat crow after learning he fucked up.

Also lots of great sexy stuff with the babes. Definitely a lot less blurring and pixelating this season. And - hooray! - Parvati escaped being voted out for another week - and we lose that mealy-mouthed eyesore Randy instead.

The scene where the Dragonslayer was doing yoga on the beach while they played some hideous chanting music was hysterical. It became the funniest thing in Survivor history when they zoomed in and showed that it was the Dragonslayer himself who was doing the chanting. I love how the producers/editors are blatantly making fun of that guy.

Coach crying about people trying to subvert his integrity next week should also be killer.

I was expecting there to be more about James roughing someone up in the challenge. It was in the episode description, and then the villians were all pussy hurt over it. I guess James couldve nudged Randy out gently, because it was a total mismatch, but seriously its a competition on a slippery stage, anything could happen and its best not to take any chances. Like Ron says, why is it always up to the winner to be classy, how about the person who knows theyre going to lose going out gracefully (which they do in curling.)

Love Russell but I hope he doesnt get caught next week. His confessionals are some of the best stuff ever in survivor.

And everyone is dead right about Pavarti, if they merge shes automatically in a 4 person alliance on the other side.

Exactly! These people act like they've never seen the previous seasons. Maybe they just have huge egos and think they're too smart to fall for the same traps, but it always fails. She will continue to bat her eyes and shake her non-existant ass every week and continue to avoid being voted out.

You don't take a chance with people who have perfected a way of getting by. Get them out as soon as you can, otherwise you'll be back home watching these people in the finals.

I think Tyson fell into his ego a little bit. When I was watching last night it hit me how many of these people, who were prime movers in their own seasons, aren't having any impact. It must be driving them nuts to not be the alpha in a group. I think Tyson was just trying to assert himself a little, and it bit him in the ass. In another season it actually would've been smart because he would've gotten the player he wanted voted off, and noone could be that pissed at him because it advances his alliance.

I was worried that Russell is sortof painting himself into a corner by pissing off Rob, but if Russell flipped Coach during tribal, finds the hidden idol again, or the villians dont go to tribal next week which are all possibilities, he could skate.

I actually appreciated Courtney for a change, her mocking out James during the challenge was pretty damn funny.

You've really got to give Russell his due - he plays this game like no one else. Every time you think they've got him by the balls, he manages to turn things around - and this time, he not only saved his own ass, but Parvati's as well.

This may be the finest season of Survivor ever. Did everyone catch the big old handful of ass Colby helped himself too when Candace jumped into his arms after the reward challenge? It's a good thing it's Easter weekend, dude was picking up hams.

This season has been one of the best, but the post-merge episodes from last season are still the high water mark. I was losing my mind watching those tribal councils -- I was taking victory laps around the living room like it was an NFL game.

My excitement for this season has been hampered, because as much as I want to see Russell tear shit up, I didn't want it to be at the expense of Boston Rob.

And further proof, as if any was needed, that Russell is indeed the Ultimate Survivor. I'm sure it can't last - sooner or later the others will have to take him out. But it's great fun watching the King rule his roost for as long as he can.

And in the meantime, he made good on his plan to get rid of that 'B' hat - along with the douche who rode in under it.

A highlite this week was Courtney describing Russell as a bandy-legged little troll, with a missing tooth and a little-boy crush on Parvati; and I loved how shocked Rob was when Russell said to get rid of one of the weak girls right to their faces - this is how the game is played in 2010.

Midway through, how do you feel the girls are holding up?
-Courtney's face is far and away the prettiest out of any of them. She is absolutely gorgeous. Obviously the torso is freakish, but then the ass and legs are outstanding
-Parvati always has the best body, but grime and stress have taken a toll on her face
-Amanda is the same. Her body is crazy hot, but the face is looking haggard (and when she stands around with her mouth hanging open, she looks like a toddler with downs)
-Candace looks the same as she did when started, so by comparison she's looking pretty good

I loved last nights episode of Amanda's Amazing Mud Coated Ass and Crotch Shot Show... uh, I mean Survivor.

The pitch: "We're looking to bring back an interesting concept from the 80s: Mud Wrestling!" Amanda did have a wedgie like the whole show.

I'm surprised that Russell lost control of the tribe, and his first pick didn't get voted out. Ofcourse if he can somehow let Coach know he didn't vote for him, that helps him in the jury.

I think it's really indicative of the way Sandra plays that she does something wacky that doesn't really advance her own cause, and actually helps out Russell a lot (if they do go to the merge thinking that Russell is a victim of the girls alliance) and she's satisfied with it. It's her throwing away the fish all over again.

Tough shit Coach. I still find Courtney's back sass funny but I usually forget shes even on the show.

Well, that was pretty fucking stupid, but it really doesn't matter much, since Sandra will flip immediately and force Russell to use the idol anyway.

In the end, the heroes will still have gained at least a 6-4 advantage (probably 7-3 once Jerri realizes that Russell is a sinking ship) in the next vote.

So I think the only effect this will have is that JT no longer has an idol, but I think a Hero majority is definite now.

Voting Sandra over Courtney might really bite them in the ass. The preview makes it look like she's already going to jump, and I dont think Courtney would've done that. She was always a follower. However, I do think the villians can pull someone, and they have atleast 1 and potentially 2 idols that the Heroes don't know about.


Now, for you after hours types, Parvati was sporting serious camel toe during the reward challenge intro. There was an especially good shot after the villains won of Courtney shaking her ass right next to Parv's toe.


And if you thought Coach was a jackass before, just give him a shower and his luggage.

When Parv pulled the idol I thought, "Well, they're fucked, they got played." That was genius, and if she makes it to the end, should probably win over Russell. As much as I dick ride him, she's been able to play him at every turn.

I still dont think you can trust Sandra at all, they need to flip one of the heroes. I think Amanda had real potential, but after trying to cross Parv I doubt that will happen, which means those sweet kettle drums days are numbered. You cant pull Colby and probably not Rupert, so maybe Candace. Shes solid. I wonder if she dropped out of the immunity challenge with that in mind. I cant believe its because she just thought she wouldnt win.

I cant imagine another season after this, its the best thing they've ever done.

After all that bullshit Sandra doesn't flip? Insanity. Shes showed herself to be totally unreliable and then thinks she can remain sheltered in her original alliance. I know Probst thinks shes a solid player, but the only thing that makes Sandra dangerous is her recklessness. The logic of being mad at everyone for voting Courtney is idiotic. If they hadn't voted Courtney, they would've voted Sandra. And she goes around telling people that they were scared to let Sandra and Courtney go to the merge together, as if it ever would make sense to vote out someone from their own alliance. They need to think about voting her next week, shes too much of a wild card.

Its a shame that Russell wasted his idol, but it was his hustle that made it wasted in the first place. I knew Candace would flip, I'm now more convinced that she dropped out of immunity last week as a gesture to flipping.

Thats probably the second most enjoyable way you can watch Danielle completely and thoroughly fuck herself. Should've kept her trap shut and gone with the group, the girls make a play on Candace and Russell has to crack some skulls. I was worried for Russell though, but Danielle put the nail in her own coffin, betrayed by her own gender failings.

I give a lot of credit to Rupert, that was a smart play to make them think you have the idol and sniff out how the vote was going. Colby remains a lump.

I think they front load the more elaborate challenges because they force a team dynamic, and push a group into making a decision about who's weak and who's strong. I dont think endurance challenges are boring at all.

If this were a regular season you'd be closer to being right about Russell, because sometimes in regular seasons people vote based on emotion. If you're voting objectively I think Russell has a really strong chance against anyone except Parv, and even then its a good race. If anyone is going to vote objectively its this jury, who has played before and understand what it takes to win.

Survivor finale is on the 16th, so there is no conflict with Lost.

I have to disagree. I understand that the game is at a later stage and less people, but I think that is the best time to do one of the bigger more involved challenges. To show who can really survive, can last the whole 39 days. Either way early or late...those challengers just suck. I find them boring. I also wish they could come up with newer different challengers.

As for Russell, you might be right, but I think either Parv, Rupert, or anyone knows to take Russell with them for the hate factor. He screwed over many. Yes maybe they might think ok, he was playing the game, but I really think the other players just do not like him. I feel a real hate for him. Then again I am a horrible judge of people. I would be totally shocked if any one on the jury will vote for him. Just have to wait and see.

Actually when they do extra eliminations its because they now cast extra people counting on some of them to get knocked out due to injury or quit. If they hit a certain date and still have extra people they run double eliminations.

A lot of people agree with you and think the show favors Russell, so when he looks like an asshole its a big payoff for you. When Russell looks smart, its a big payoff for people like me, so the show doesn't benefit more or less one way or the other. People also accuse Probst of favoring Colby. He's actually fairly critical of Russell in his blog this week, he says that back to back games have broken down Russell, and he's falling apart, which was where his confrontation with Rupert and his helplessness with Pavarti come from.

Did anyone else think Russell's wife looked way better on the island than she did at last season's reunion? I had to go find the show and check to make sure it was the same person. She seemed chubby and very trailer-parky on the reunion, but on tonight's show she didn't look half bad.

That could be a stretch. I know Rupert gave Russell the death stare after being voted out, but I forgot to watch the end of the show to see who Russell actually voted for. The game has spun out of his hands, and a major factor is that he did not vote Sandra out prior to the merge. You dont have any of these problems with Courtney.

Russell has painted himself into a corner, I think the only person he can absolutely beat in the finale is Colby, he has a good chance against Jerri for her constant flip flopping but someone will always try and play that 'under the radar' bullshit. I'd say its even money against Sandra who is probably equally disliked but has come up very scrappy and made some big moves, and I dont think he has a chance against Parv.

Too bad there was no Amanda in the family challenge, I remember her sister being a slightly chubbier clone. Another sponsored challenge was pretty funny, and they've always had them, but the aggressiveness is over the top. Even I will admit the immunity challenge was boring.

Immunity will be huge in the first elimination challenge, because I dont know if anyone is 100% on their plan to go to the final tribal. There are too many options. I'll bet Russell tries to work the mistrust angle to drive a wedge between Sandra and Parv/Jerri, for keeping the idol secret.

It's been growing trend, the jury votes out of spite more than anything. As if dealing from a position of power obligates you to be magnanimous. If the jury has been the ones in power they would have acted the same way, if they didn't act that way they wouldnt make it to the end.

I hate the self righteousness of it. For the most part its not like they did play with a lot of integrity and were paid back by getting voted out- they played with as much deceit, they just werent as successful.

Nothing Sandra did made her deserve to win. She didn't even have the supposed integrity that won her the game, she voted for everyone on the jury, she never took the opportunity to vote against her alliance, and never won anything. Rupert, who has a beach worth of sand in his pussy, seems to forget that his best buddy Sandra helped vote him out.

Russell needs to ratchet up his final tribal council answers, he needs to be a little smoother and more diplomatic. But he was right, Parv deserved to win, she had all aspects of the game locked down. Sandra never would've made a final two, Russel and Parv would've taken eachother.

I disagree with Russell here, because then you'll wind up with people like Rupert or Colby winning every season. This isn't American Idol, and the jury is one of the things that makes this such a good game. You have to somehow preserve the opinion of the people you screwed over enough to get them to pick you as the winner. Richard Hatch established the resepect angle- you can dislike how he played but you have to respect him, and therefore pick him to win. Russell needed a jury that thought the same way, and he's been unlucky. I thought the all stars would be more likely to vote objectively, but they're just extra bitter. There does need to be some kind of correction in how overvalued the final social aspect of the game is, but I'm not sure how you can do that and preserve the conundrum the show is built on.

I wised up - this time around I was prepared for Russell to get fucked over, and not win even though he clearly deserved to. He knew that once again the pussies wouldn't give him his due - and man oh man, was he pissed - angry and surly right from the opening shots of the live show.

But it's not like he needs the money - he just wants the bragging rights. And while he did act like a real sore loser this time around, at least he didn't embarrass himself by begging to 'buy' the title from the winner.

And I must admit, I loved it when Sandra threw his hat into the fire - perfect karma for the man who took delight in throwing other peoples stuff into the fire just to fuck with their heads.

Amanda looked like shit during the final tribal council (like her makeup had been applied by a 6 year old); but both she and Parvati looked spectacular at the live show.

All in all, a phenomenal season - maybe the best ever. Now comes the long, hard wait until the next season begins - but at least we'll soon have a whole new crop of douchebags, assholes, sluts, rednecks, religious freaks, weirdos and jocks to get us through the summer once Big Brother fires up.

I was a little shocked that Sandra won...she really was not a front runner player. I knew Russell would not win...he just pissed off EVERYONE. Why would anyone give a million dollars to a person who just annoyed them for 39 days. And the way Russell looked during the last vote and re-union...he looked pissed. I really thought that he was going to cut Pav and take Jerri, either way I think it did not matter. I think Russell took Parv over Jerri because he legitimately believed Parv should have a chance to win. Like last season when he almost took the guy, because he just thought the guy was a nice kid. Russell definately has a human side.

I hate the 3 person finale, it really dillutes the tension. Half the time they dont even address all three people in the final questions, and theres always someone who gets 0 votes. And, had they gone down to 2 people, Russell vs Parv- probably the two greatest survivors ever.

Russell, as he said many times, ‘Played the game’. Unfortunately, the game has morphed into more of a dating game. It’s now all about who likes me most? It has zero to do with what it should, and with what it used to be: SURVIVING. Think about it. Is there even any search, or struggle to find food? any exploring? any real dangers? None. It’s all social now, with your only chance being that you did not say anything nasty to anyone. Sandra did nothing to get to the final three. Parvati at least kicked ass in challenges. She and Russell were equally deserving in my opinion. Russell does play agressively, and steps on people, but isn’t that supposed to be part of it? The jury votes for personal reasons only. This shouldn’t just be a popularity contest. Russell did not receive a single vote!! How is that possible?? I say let the new season contestants explore the surroundings…make it harder for them to find food…perhaps not allow someone who did not win a single challenge to be eligible to be in the final three…eliminate some of theses hidden idols…let the final three compete at the end, and don’t rely so much on jury votes…or at least give the jury voters some choices, not just free reign to vote strictly on whether or not this person pissed me off. It’s a great show, but it needs to get back to its roots. Russell was robbed…with Parvati a close second.

Those who say Russell should win obviously don’t understand the game of Survivor. The point (as Jeff tried to make last night) is that you are with a group of other people and you have to make it to the end and preserve votes in the meantime. This isn’t about who makes the biggest moves, or who plays aggressivly, etc. etc., all that doesn’t matter if you can’t win the votes. So Russell plays an aggressive game. so what. does that mean he deserves to win? NO. because he missed the other cruicial point of the game which is SOCIAL. it doesn’t matter if you make it to the end if no one likes you and you stomp on people along the way. the only way to win is to get to the end AND keep your friends. That’s a tough thing to do. Parvarti probably would have gotten my vote, but I respect that sandra won. Parvs downfall was aliging with Russell. guilty by association. anyway, Russell will never win the game. he just doesn’t get it. Like Jeff said, this isn’t THAT game that gets america’s vote for the win. or takes OUR opinions on winning. remember we only see a little bit. we don’t live on the island with them. we don’t know everything. the point of the game is get the respect and votes of your peers, which Russell will never ever do
