I am getting these, its called "It's your day" from 1800 flowers. I got burned by roses way too many times, and the variety in this seems to please them. Carnations last a long time and their scent is really nice. Im even sending some to my mom.

Proflowers screwed me too, I had them send 3 bouquets of roses to 3 people and all of them complained that they arrived dead. I wont use them again.

i have a tradition of buying my chick the ugliest, tackiest, cheapest stuffed animal i can find. last year was a kitten with a collar saying i love you. the year before that was a sparkling purple unicorn. i've yet to look this year.

our best friends (another couple) is coming to our house and the wives are cooking a gourmet meal for our husbands (well, she is but i'll be the best sous chef ever!) the most i expect is a card. we usually don't exchange presents. sometimes he gets me flowers. i'd rather he make a big deal about my birthday.

Last year I gave a HUGE 10 lb. chocolate Godiva heart. It lasted until Easter the and then kept the box. It was nice because it was very well decorated heart box, with lace and velvet trim with bows and stuff that women like. Shes keeping photos in it now.
