Why is Dick Cheney the mouthpiece of politics?
I have never seen so much media coverage from a former VP then he gets. And what comes out of Dick Cheney's mouth is mostly idiotic.
Outside of overseeing the 1991 Operation Desert Storm his record is weak and scandalist to say the least.

Since the right doesn't respect current RNC Chair Michael Steele, Cheney is using the lack of perceived leadership in the Republican Party to grab the stage.

Because he pisses people off. I don't pay attention to him or Gore for that matter and can't say that it's effected me one bit. Then again if you watch foxnews or msnbc I could see how your simpleton brain would be consumed with this.

This guy is on all channels. All the time. Why the media even let what he has to say carry any weight befuddles me.
Btw the other figures shown posted have their own side agendas.
Cheney always speaks on todays dealings. As if he is the go to guy. Who still drafts policies.

Since the current Administration is saying that they have been handicapped by the previous one, Cheney is trying to defend their record and rehabilitate their legacy. Thanks to a 24 hour news cycle this will be a new trend in years to come.

Yeah, that's like saying water is wet.
What a brilliant observation by him.
Because as we know there are no racists in the northeast right ?
But more to the point of the thread I think that Gor does get more publicity but that's moe than likley due to his book/movie, oh and that whole creating the internet thing.
I don't hear a lot from Cheney other than when he grabs a headline here or there and I can be happy w/ that.

That's a good point. I don't watch him much on tv. But most times he is putting down the recent policy. From what I see.

at least when one sees barry one can know one is seeing a president of the usa...not a quitter of a governorship just so she can get the big bucks. Also one can be assured that if one comes across barry's speech on fact check.org if its examined it can contain more truths than Sarah's.

ok, far be it from me to completely understand what goes through a mad man's head, but how the fuck is he in the know here in any way? talk about bullshit, he literally shouldn't have a clue, like when he was in office, but of course the powers that be are so deeply entrenched it's pretty scary

Cheney Calls for Air Strike on Iran Over Captured Drone
it's like a headline from a bad tabloid.
he said that the pres had options for the drone, including going in and getting the drone (which he said was very difficult) or taking it out with an airstrike. He said, since we chose to ask for it back, we'll probably get nothing, or pieces of it after they pick it apart. that's pretty much it

while I agree it's purposely misleading, it is amazing how often his initial reaction is attack, and even attacking our own downed drone on foreign soil could easily be considered an act of war, so yah I'm sure he'd love that plan right.
like in 2010?
Lets remember that in the 2010 cycle both Bush Jr & Cheney were very quiet. There is a reason for that.
