We all knew it would be bad. But this bad? Jeff Bridges is the new Dan Aykroyd. Jamie Foxx doing his Ray Charles impression. Wyclefs death rattle. And of course, the autotune. My God, the autotune. The best part is still Michael Jackson. I know its for charity, but this effort is horrendous.
Btw, whos the blonde chick playing guitar?

i was pissed off when i watched this piece of shit on tv,i will not watch the youtube of it,what a fucking disgrace
I agree, the song is terrible. But his is probably the best use of these peoples ''ahem" talents that can be best used towards the relief effort in Haiti. I don't see ANY of them actually getting directly involved there. I have a suspicion that this song is also 50% to inflate their egos as well

Is anyone really surprised this sucks? The song itself is awful and the original version is an overrated piece of shit that only gets a pass because it was for charity.

I honestly didn't think they could make the song any worse but this group was successful in doing so. The arrangement, the 'talent,' ---its all too much. The Creole 'yokes' and 'grunts' are just awful and then at the end when the guy is singing, 'Haiti----Haiti....' Oh the humanity, indeed.

I thought it was kinda of cool in 1985 to see the orginal back then. The song wasn't the greatest. It was new to me. Just saying. I wonder if the new artist left their attitude at the door?

When will this fad die already?

That's Orianthi Panagaris, the girl who was supposed to be the touring guitarist for Michael Jackson on the tour that never happened. Seems like someone's trying to make a
Avril/Britney hybrid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu1aQvm5MrU) out of her, but when you remove the bubblegum lyrics the little girl can shred (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7b-_YcACuQ).

It's no "We're All in the Same Gang" by The West-Coast Rap All-Stars.

Nice to see Michael Jackson was able to make it into the recording session.
Is anybody keeping track of all the billions of dollars that are flowing into Haiti? I wonder how much of it has made it's way into off-shore bank accounts.

The pretentiousness of celebrities never ceases to disgust me. Jamie Foxxhole saying how amazing it was that this "dazzling array" of celebrities came together with their shared commitment to help Haiti. "Look at us, we're famous, and anything we do must be interesting to you, the average jackass, now donate some blue collar money." After seeing this, I'm flying to Haiti to steal supplies.

I dunno. Huey Lewis totally nailed his one line in the original. Way better than Usher did.

Is Wyclef making his voice do that on purpose?

If I had been able to watch past the 2:00 mark, I might have a really witty comment for that.

I caught it the other day in the middle of my Campus PD marathon.
I don't wnna be too hard on it because it is for charity but it surely is a whole bunch of nonsense.
jamie Foxx is not a singer. Just because he can physically sing and people allow him to do so doesn't mean I need to listen to him.
Barbara Streisand ? Really ? And they let her sing twice ?
That collection may be worse than the cast of Valentine's Day and I thought that'd be tough to beat.
I can't get around supporting anything that Wycleaf Jean is attached to because of the shadiness around the fund he was running. Regardless of his involvement and/or transaction level detail in that scam I still can't respect him.
After all he did accept a $25K, or was it $50K, appearance fee for his own charity. He would've had to have know he was taking that money.
Also I was able to put aside that accusations against Michael Jackson when he 1st died because I had sympathy for him but using this guy as some type of beacon for donating money is wearing on me.
It's great if putting him in there brings in significant amount of money but if not they should've used a more relevant, less kid toucher of a singer.
Enough of Fergie aready too.

Enough of Mary J Blige already too. From what I can tell her career over the past 15 years has consisted of popping up in weird places. Whether its with Elton John, or on American Idol or at the Superbowl, shes ALWAYS there!
Is anyone really surprised this sucks? The song itself is awful and the original version is an overrated piece of shit that only gets a pass because it was for charity.
I don't even give it a pass for that.
Glad to see I wasn't the only Hater of this in the 80s.
