All this $$$$$ spent on Advertising, and commercials are only effective to me in 1 way
New items....
If I see a commercial for a new item, I want to get the new item....
as far as a Coke or Pepsi Commercial I like Pepsi, no Coke commercial will sway me
as far as a Brawny Paper Towel commercial, I get what the supermarket has on Sale, no matter which brand, that commercial does nothing for me......
What commercials (if any) effect your shopping and spending habits........

the only thing i've ever seen in a commercial and ran out to try is fast food.
first time i saw that gimmicky phillie cheese steak burger at hardees on tv i was at my hardees 10 minutes later.

think I can say for certain I bought 1 product I saw or heard advertised. It was from Sears and it's the drill bit that should allow you to remove a screw that's head has been stripped...
did not work

Yeah, commercials have gotten me to try a few of Taco Bell's new products, like the Black Jack Taco. Which was actually pretty damn tasty.

I think I agree with you completely when it comes to new products. I tend to be swayed by most sales and or coupons. If i see something I don't usually use I'll try to pick it up if its on sale and I have a coupon. Then I'll find a use for it. Yes I'm a stay at home Mr. Mom.

I never watch live TV. Everything I watch is recorded, so I never see commercials.

The really effective commercials slip right through your active window into your subconscious. Go look in your refrigerator, cabinets, driveway, etc. and see how many things you really did a cost benefits analysis on before you bought it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go find an internet site where I can find some pennystocks to chase so I can strike it rich on Wall St.
do do do do, do do do do.

They effect me but usually negatively. If I hate a commercial I will not buy the product.

That's how I am about Cold Stone Creamery commercials.
