it does look awful but i'd prob be a good idea to at least watch the show first before saying what a piece of shit it is. i mean it is seinfeld so it's possible it could be okay
but that being said it mos def looks like a piece of shit. i think he's a great comedian though so i'll prob give it a chance

Seinfeld is the producer, which means he had the connections with NBC to get it on the air. Some other comedian is the host. I don't think it's going to be much different from those Nanny and Wife Swap shows. Dr. Phil for prime time.

The show Seinfeld was shit, what do you expect of him on a shitty marriage themed show?

From a review:
With the Olympics as a lead-in last night and "The Office" birth episode as a lead-in on Thursday, "The Marriage Ref" should do okay for a while. But good lord was it excruciating to sit through: 30 minutes (imagine how bad it'll be at its usual one-hour running time) of celebrities being smug, mocking ordinary couples with arguments so obviously ridiculous and one-sided that they would seem justified picking on the wrong side, and cackling at each other's lame punchlines as if they were all attending the Friar's Club Roast where Jeff Ross made his legendary Bea Arthur joke. Painful, pointless, obnoxious... I would almost rather have "The Jay Leno Show" back.
Wow, that's cold.

Insanity.
Yeah, Seinfeld show was top 3 shows of all time, hands down.
As for this new pile of shit, i watched 2 couples, and the decisions both went in favor of wifey. I'm sure that will be the rule, not the exception. The pussification of america, now on primetime network tv!!

Hardly, it was a show that holds no entertainment value for me in the least. I tried watching it on several occasions, no dice. Just nothing to laugh at, at all.

I just caught like the last 30 seconds of the show. Kelly Ripa was laughing at something she said (she really needs to stick with Regis as much as she can). Alec Baldwin was sitting there looking uncomfortable (or maybe he was looking hungry).
Not a bad idea putting on someone like Baldwin with a horrible marriage background. Did he add anything to the show or did he just sit there and give Ripa creepy glances? In the coming attractions they showed Larry David, another guy who's divorced.

What really amuses me here is that by stopping Olympics coverage and going to this show, NBC brings in a show they appear to be counting on to be a hit on a wave of ill will and annoyance.
How the hell does any NBC exec still have a job?

I'm still amazed whenever someone new says that Seinfeld sucked. I will never understand that train of thought.

There are episodes that haven't aged well -- they just showed the episode about the low-fat yogurt, and the Dinkin references required some recollection, and Guiliani's just become such a douche since that it's impossible to find him funny now -- but overall, the show is a classic.
I mean, "The Contest" might be the single best episode of any sitcom ever. EVER.

That can be said about any show, doesnt mean its not funny. There are shows that millions of people think are hilarious but they dont even make me giggle. Friends and The Office are 2 that come to mind.

For me, the TV show Seinfeld is shit. awful and I'd rather watch just about anything else.

I'm sorry Seinfeld.
I watched the Marriage Ref with Larry David, Madonna and Ricky Gervais and thought it was great. I look foward to the next episode.

I enjoy his obviously fake laugh
the guest refs around him are not funny, say a hack(poorly written) joke, he bends forwards and forcres a laugh
its great
the show is not great
it makes me miss Jay Leno at 10 pm,
