Although he did promise anyone who donated to Liz' walkathon a while back would get a sig pic made by him. I gave her 20 bucks and never got a sig. Its been close to four years I've been waiting. That kid better get used to disappointment if this is how he follows through on his commitments.

There is an idea of a Matty Fridays; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.

Another interesting thing about this place: Many of the medical professionals who have been taking care of Liz and Gwen are extremely, extremely attractive.

The doc who delivered Gwen, several of the nurses, etc... all get high marks on the Fridays scale.

Thanks everybody for the congrats, well-wishes and reminders that our lives have changed forever.

Listening to the newest Fridays squeak (yeah, she squeaks in her sleep) is music to my ears right now. In 2 weeks when I've been functioning on less than 4 hours' sleep at a clip, however, I expect it will be a LOT less cute.

We're still in awe of how beautiful our baby is, too. And that's not just us talking - all her nurses and most of her docs have been telling us she's too cute for words. Matty says she takes after me in the looks department ... which is really flattering and exactly the thing you want to hear a million times a day before your pain meds wear off.
