I listen to Kornheiser's show every day, and he couldn't be more off base on this. He was actually hoping for a Cornell victory, as his kids went to that school. The Shaugnessy controversy was brought up the other day, and Kornheiser quickly dismissed the racial implications that have arisen since Shaugnessy's column. He attacked the writers following Kentucky who have thrown thinly-veiled racial questions at Kentucky players during press conferences.

As both Kornheiser and Wilbon said on PTI the other night - Kentucky players want to go to the NBA after school, but so do Cornell players. Yes, Kentucky players have the fast track to attain that goal, and Cornell obviously has higher academic standards, but both teams consist of athletes.
