Fort Hancock Texss – Residents of a small Mexican border town under siege by at least one of the country’s most notorious drug cartels are fleeing into a tiny Texas community, which is on high alert and preparing for a surge of illegal immigrants should a street battle break out with another cartel – or if gunmen begin carrying out a threat to start killing the town’s children.
At least 30 residents of El Porvenir, located about four miles from the Texas border town of Fort Hancock, have crossed into the U.S. and asked for political asylum, telling authorities that they fear for their lives. Fort Hancock officials tell FoxNews.com that they consider the situation serious.
“We just got word that the cartel has threatened to kill children in schools across the border unless parents paid $5000 pesos,” said Mike Doyle, chief deputy sheriff of Hudspeth County. And that time might come sooner than later. Schools Superintendent Jose Franco said word has spread that everyone in the Mexican town must stay indoors while members of rival cartels prepare for a shootout. Just another push for Amnesty. Great!!!! now we have to babysit them. Welfare, food stamps, education, healthcare, housing subsidies and other entitlements they don't deserve. 30 more moochers of the American taxpayers

These people can't flee to Southern Mexico cities? Hopefully they get deported to Oaxaca. No violence there

Where's the law enforcement? Are they taking siestas under the cacti ?

Somehow, I doubt these people are coming here to do some yard work off the books.

They're refugees. They should be treated as such, and given emergency help.

Because that's what countries that actually do care about human rights do, instead of yielding to moronic anti-immigration hysteria.

instead of yielding to moronic anti-immigration hysteria.

Tough to come together when your poking with a stick.

This is a special situation , but with the crew we have in washington not willing to let a crisis go to waste. I understand where WF is coming from....and so do you.
If we were willing to control our borders, it would be so much easier to help. But that's really not wanted by the politicians.
There is little reason to go back to far in this argument....I just don't have the time.
The appearance of amnistey for votes is undenieable.....and sinister.
I can't think of anyone that dosent want to help these people. They would not be illegals. Its the other 20 million that are the issue, and the others those 20 million screwd by not following the rules.

If the feds had actually done their job controling the border and the flow of illegals.....immigation reform would have been a breeze. When you get groups like le raza pushing for amnesty and declaring the land is theirs.......we've got issues.

So, its really not moronic, the angst is based in the broken promises.....and our duplicit politicians
