View Full Version : Do you remember this bit?

Many years ago before Sirius OnA finished their show with this weird laughing sound. They kept it playing through the commercials and then they continued the Ron and Fez show over the laughing loop. They took calls and RnF pretended that they didn't hear it. Half the callers were in on it, so they pretended they couldn't hear it either, and the other half of the callers were baffled and trying to give their locations, and were wondering why they heard it and others didn't. It's my favorite bit and memory of the show.

That's funny, I had forgotten about that part. I even remember where I was when I heard it. I was driving on the Driscoll Bridge, and some people were calling from that area.

Wasn't there also a guy who would call in and just repeat the words "RON and FEZZZZZ" over and over. He wouldn't say their names the same way every time. Sometimes he'd mix it up. Change the inflection.

If i remember correctly it was the laugh of Eddie The Murderer who called into the o&A show saying he shot 2 drug dealers. His buddy had a meting and he went early and hid. They also were trying to get Stalker Patti to stay with him.
Mikeyboy could probably pull the show date out of his ass. He's good like that,
I hit up Google and...
It was around 5/14/02 according to oapedia check here (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:7zo3NmXMoFgJ:www.oapedia.com/index.php/Eddie_the_Murderer+eddie+the+murderer&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a)

While we're stolling down memory lane...
... I think my all time favorite bit of R&F madness was "Radio". The young blind kid who would randomly call into the show just to let Ronnie know what songs were being played on other radio stations.
There were two things that made this bit great.
1) the songs were already over. He would say "101.5 played Jumpin Jack Flash a few minutes ago."
2) Ron seemed to genuinely like the absurdity of it. He loved everything about that little blind kid. The kid had a dry delivery... and didn't seem to particularly care for Ron and Fez... OR the music that was being played on the other stations. He also didn't seem to mind that Ron nicknamed him "Radio".
The whole thing was f'ing crazy. I really enjoyed it.

Bunny was the fuckin' BEST.
RON
....
AND FEZ
...
THEY'RE JUICY!
RONANDFEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Fez's memoirs "A thousand little Peeshes" always cracked me up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JtuUi4-WCQ
But all time best? For me it's still the Rutger Hauer interview, specifically because of one moment, it's right after Ron bets Rutger that Fez can carry the cart rack across the room, I dont remember what preceded it but as I recall Rutger says that he was impressed with Fez's strength, at which point Fez Fez whispers to him "I'm hurt bad Rutger, I may have torn something." I don't know exactly why but something about Fez's delivery made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to have a stroke.

It's right before Big ass night of fights 2, which reminds me of the last Big ass night of fights where Al fought Rory in the street in front of the hard rock, which was funny only in that Al lasted as long as he did, what was really funny was the fact that Al claimed Gay Randy "raped his mouth" at one point. Al Dukes was quite possibly the greatest character ever.

I remember Bunny calling WJFK one night close the the end of the show. He was still going when Ron called the show to tell Fez that he had made it all the way home listening to him.
I always thought Bunny sounded an awful lot like Mikey D.

About 10 or 5 months ago, there was a single show where Fez was absolutely on fire with his jokes. It was only a single day and the next show, fez seemed to fall back into current comedic self. Fez made a joke very early in the show. Something about raising kids was the topic, 'Your daughter is only a good daughter if she sits on your lap'. Fez won the beanie cup that day.
I have tried for hours to find out what day that was. I searched by tags, show rundowns, ect...
