Joe Rogan was on the O&A Radio show this morning and this thing is really heating up. Recent developments have shown that Dana White has been in contact with Fedor's people, but he also has stated that he never negotiates with fighters under contract with other organizations.

I put a call & e-mail in to my contact at StrikeForce/M-1 Global to see what is going on. I'll keep you guys posted when I get a reply.

Here's the link to the full story:

I won't believe it until Fedor's plane touches down at McCarran Itl.

But it's definitely the fight on the horizon.

I can count the number of my highly anticipated fights on one hand, but Fedor-Lesnar has to be first.

I suppose the others would be:
Mousasi vs. Rua/Machida
Mousasi vs. A. Silva
St. Pierre vs. A. Silva
Aoki vs. Penn

It's actually contractually possible. Fedor is only contracted to one exclusive Strikeforce fight per year for Strikeforce and after that, he is free to fight for any other organization provided that it happens outside of the US.

So, once Fedor fights Werdum, he could fight Lesnar in Canada, or elsewhere before the end of the year.

If I'm not mistaken, the UFC's August event takes place in Australia and that one was the original target date for Lesnar to come back.

No way they're going to make ol' blockhead travel to Australia after the health issues he's had. They would sooner put the octagon in his back yard before they make him travel anywhere that needs a stamp on his passport. They'll spoonfeed him until he gets a few wins under his belt or he loses that strap.

The rumor I've been reading is that, although the contracts have not yet been signed, the targeted date for the big Lesnar/Carwin fight is UFC 116 on July 3rd in Vegas.

edit: LINKY...Again, not confirmed, but most likely (http://mmajunkie.com/event/700/ufc-116-in-las-vegas.mma)

That's astonishing. When was that taken? Its pretty common knowledge that even a prime Royce Gracie gets demolished by an average fighter today in his weight class, nevermind the heavyweight champion.

That question shouldn't even be posed. Now, a 27 year old Royce vs. a 27 year old Brock with little more than his NCAA wrestling skills? Then maybe you get that 45/55 split. But today's Brock would demolish Royce.
