So I went to fill up the old family roadster today. I noticed the first pump had plastic bags placed over the nozzle, so i naturally figured that it was either empty of broken so i pulled forward to the next pump.
About 2 minutes later, a woman pulled up behind me, to the pump with the bags on it. I figured she was just going to wait for me to finish fueling. but no. she got out of her car, put in her card and pin, then took the bags off. I had finished fueling at this point but i didn't get in my van yet. i had to see how this was going to play out.
She put the nozzle in to the gas tank and then click...click...clickclickclickclick. No gas as i figured. She looked at me and said "What with this thing?"
I waited a second and said "Seriously?"
She just looked at the nozzle, then the pump, then the nozzle, then the pump......waited a few more seconds then said "These things (the bags) means it's not working?"
I didn't say anything, I just got in my van and drove off.

Well those bags were for everyone else on the planet BUT her. You should know that.

You responded to this mongoloid 100% appropriately. Just note her vehicle and avoid it at all costs on the roads; she is bound to mistake the gas for the brake.

Tom, in fairness, if she was from Jersey, she may have not known.

We are fancy, fancy people and can't be bothered with such mundane, filthy tasks. We leave those to the common people.

i bet its cuz as soon as the fuel starts going you people start pumping the air and spill gasoline all over the place

Even so, they'll tell you drive up to the next pump if one is covered like that.

Yes. I can't begin to tell you how much of an asshole I feel like when I try to pump gas in Arizona and something horribly goes wrong.
