Ours started for potential incoming members of the 7th Grade football team.

Each one was hunted down and received a "pink belly" sometime that summer, or before/after summer 2-a-days from the 8th and 9th Grade "upperclassmen".

My incoming summer of hell was 1980. Like Mitch, my sis was a year older, so they all knew who I was and where to find me.

Gotta keep up the North Ridgeville, OH Football tradition, ya know? Make sure that we're "Ranger" material, etc.

And yes, it was common for them to tag-out and take turns slapping that stomach.

i got lucky in HS. When I was a Freshman, I was friends with a few kids who lived in this lower income housing development at the top of Rt 17. So because id be hangin out up there alot, I was cool with alot of the older kids. Once me and the other kids my age got to the HS, it was like we had protection. No one who was a sr would fuck with us few cause they knew they would have to deal with like 7 other seniors, one of which was a jacked 275 pounds at the time.

Only one time did anything ever happen. I was walkin down the hall and this sr came up and like hip checked me into the lockers when i wasnt lookin. I looked back to see who it was and I see Calvin and Curtis come outta nowhere and just lay the kid out onto the floor and then stomped him for like 10 seconds and then walked away. That was the last time anyone at that school fucked with any of us
