Ant and Fezzies wild weekend
Today was the worst O&A show I have heard in a long time. Until Anthony leaves and becomes the ultra-white wing white nationalist radio host that he clearly wants to be I'm checking out. He dominates the show, constantly pulling the conversation into racist and political rants, no one else has enough interest in the topic to be able to counter him nor enough interest in the show to steer it back into comedy. I'm just done. The funny no longer outweighs Anthony's disgusting rants.

Yeah - I know they will do what they want to do but I wish Ant would seriously stop and think how stale the whole racist/political bit has become. I thought that I would never grow tired of that show but I am almost completely finished

But I love how opie conplains about a lack of support from management. Maybe they aren't thrilled with Ant's racist rants. Stern did plenty of racist humor, but I never sensed hate in it. Ant used to do racist humor. Now he just does racism while he and bayshore nazi trade inside jokes.

Exactly. What is Sirius supposed to do? Sell a show where if more of the general public were actually paying attention to the things Anthony has been saying for the past year plus they'd have been out of a job a long time ago.

When they were reading "funny" tweets today off of the news guy's twitter, it showed perfectly how unfunny Opie is. Every single one he laughed at and read was completely unfunny.

They played Smashing Pumpkins coming out of break and had a brief discussion about the band. When Opie said the title of the song, '1979' Jimmy says "Is that the year this came out?"
To his credit Smashing Pumpkins are not Ozzie.

Bill said that his web guy messed up so the iTunes doesn't get updated and there is no RSS feed for his podcasts you have to sit there at the computer in a web browser and listen to them each week. I like the podcast but really want to take it with me not sit there in front of the computer.

You guys saved me from deleting google listen, I thought it was broken because I can only access 4 MMPCs. Seriously there should be an rss feed for those of us who want this shit on the go.

You could probably use FireFox and a add on called Download helper and extract the audio from his site. But that's to much work for me to listen, I wish he would get his web guy to make it so they upload to iTunes or provide us with a RSS feed. It's not like it's that hard every idiot with a usb microphone has a podcast and uploads them to iTunes.

On another note... Jesus Opie... 1979? Landslide? What the fuck is your obsession with Landslide? It's EXACTLY LIKE THE FUCKING ORIGINAL. Do you ever listen to a song that ISN'T in heavy rotation on the radio?
A few weeks ago he was living his Landslide obsession out and after 3 mentions, had to play the whole song into break, where they couldn't wait to eat their salads.
Way to be an "edgy" morning show. You need to eat a salad while listening to a Stevie Nicks cover song. I hope you had enough time for a makeover and a mani/pedi during the commercials that are still as long as they were on terrestrial.

This reminds me of a fairly recent cringy music segment: A caller pointed out a solo Brad Delp song that had lyrical similarities to Jimmy's "We're Back" Van Halen bit. After they played the third-rate Boston knock-off, they came back in and said, "Aw, that wasn't bad." Jimmy then said, "Yeah, fuck. Now, I've gotta buy it on iTunes." Ugh.
