The interesting thing about this video is how the controversy surrounding it has left very few people (this thread excluded) talking about the upcoming album (what's it called?) or even about the song itself (is that Ghost Rider just sped up?). It seems the controversy has buried the fact that the video is a promotion for M.I.A.'s next record and is not just some shock for shock's sake production.

I don't care for the song itself, though I don't thing the video showcases well enough to judge as it is, but I am looking forward to the release - I haven't missed a M.I.A. record yet.

This song is alright, but nothing groundbreaking. The supposed gore isn't that bad at the end. I think that this is a way for MIA to stay relevant, but by the way did anyone know that red heads for Sri Lankan's are like unicorns for us, and albinos for Africans?

I'll agree with you here. It's going to do far more for M.I.A then it will for the director - but yeah, you're probably right, not fair to cal this a music video.

Also - I went back and listened to Suicide's Ghost Rider, her sample is a direct sample - I thought it was sped up, nope. Anyways, the real story here I listened to Suicide then thought it best close with Rollins Band doing Ghost Rider from the Crow Soundtrack ... Best cover EVER.
