Sexual Dreams

Lately, I have been having very sexual dreams about friends, co-workers and even my landlord. I don't mean to sound funny or anything but I don't understand why. The dreams have been about people that I would never even think about having any sort of sex with. What is going on?

i'm no therapist, but it sounds like your subconscious wants to bust out, and do something your conscious would never accept. It's manifesting as these funky dreams.

I usually read dream books alot and dreaming about having sex with people you usually dont hook up with doesnt mean you actually want to have sex with them. There is something about these people that they have some characteristics or a type of personality that you wished you had. Its nothing serious, in fact its very common in most people.

As long as you know yourself you dont want to have anything sexual with them, I wouldnt worry about it. Eventually, your conscience will repress it and you'll have nice dreams again.

I understand what you're saying Impact. It makes sense. But, I can't see what characteristics I wish I had in these people. I barely know some of them.

It's probably something they said or done that you weren't paying close attention to at first but your subconscious remembers and brings it forth in your dreams.

Mira, I am not joking when I tell you that I have been having the same dreams over the past 2 weeks. I am having sex left and right in my dreams. Girls I know are strippers in my dream, and I'm having sex with all sorts of random girls. Im just as confused as you, what does this mean?

Oh God ... my sexual dreams usually stay in my mind the next few days. And out of all the types of dreams to have (nightmare, death, etc.), those are the most intense! ;-)

MIRA - First off, your question is not funny at all. If something bothers you it's terrific to talk about it.

Everyone dreams (even those that don't recall them). Without dreaming people quickly become psychotic.

We dream about ALL sorts of things. Sometimes we dream about things that we think of during the day. Other times our dreams are symbolic or representational of our conscious and unconscious mind. Other times, the dreams represent something that you want (or don't want) or that you fear. Still other times, the dreams have no meaning at all.

Dreaming about sex is completely normal. I would venture to say that a person who did not have sexual dreams would be having a terribly deep problem.

Don't be concerned if the people populating your sexual dreams are people you have no desire for in real life. It does not necessarily mean that you have a subconcsious desire for them. Since you describe dreaming about everyone around you it's doubtful that you're secretely lusting after one or more of them. Your mind is just attaching faces it remembers to the sexual dream.

It's different from a mastrabatory fantasy in which there is a recurring person you think of. That would certainly represent lustful feelings towards that person.

But you're only dreaming about this. Don't worry in the slightest. It's normal and healthy, so enjoy.

I agree dreaming about sex is normal, it also can be disturbing but its a dream, it just happens as long as it does not happen in real life. its kinda of like everyone has a fantasy soemtimes its better left in the head and soemtiems its not.
