Very sad. Just got through reading reports that it was all a hoax. Then I saw WDHA's facebook post:
Wendy Dio, wife/manager of legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie
James Dio has released the following statement
"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45 a.m. [on Sunday]
16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private
goodbyes before he peacefully passed away.

This blows. His band was kicking ass. H&H where harder than Sabbath.
I saw the H&H tour around 1980. It was great.
