View Full Version : Peeve: People who talk during movies/shows

I have had many movies and show experiences ruined by people (usually older women) who can't seem to keep their yappers shut during a movie or tv show.
They can't seem to understand how it is a major distraction and annoying. They end up asking what they missed if their yapping interrupts the show too.
Does anyone else find this in horrible bad taste? What do you do about it? Anytime I have tried to explain my peeve to them it has resulted in an escalation of the negative situation.

I feel ya.
It bothers me even more at a concert.
I know, I know... it's a rock concert... yada yada. But, I was at a show a few weeks ago and the band started to play an acoustic tender ballad, and the assholes next to me were talking (screaming!) about how their car is in the shop and they have to pick it up at 7am tomorrow. It was really distracting. People suck.

I'm more annoyed by the sound of the candy boxes and chewing.

I bet you hate the kids walking across your lawn too.

I hate it myself, have had some altercations about it. It was nice when l managed at a theater being able to throw people out for it, I was particularly vigilant.
