I dont think that Lady Gaga is stonewalling Larry King in this interview at all. He's asking her nothing, and then not following anything up when she doesnt just offer the answer he was looking for.

They aren't doing her a favor by having her on Larry King, we're at the point now where the show is more promoted by the person. Shes doing the aloof, wierdo Lady Gaga act thats the exact reason Larry King booked her to draw an audience.

just wondering... when did the show start relying so heavily on pronunciation humor? i guess it started with "blueburries" but it's like whenever they need to punch up a boring sentence they just over-enunciate or give an exagerrated pronunciation to a word. ant and jimmy are especially guilty.

I've had enough with Bobo, they need to give him a long break. I don't get the appeal it's not funny or entertaining. If anything it's an excuse for them to waste some time so they can clock out at 10:26 on a Friday.

I wish I had heard the beginning of the story, I guess its about an audio card from Hallmark that is perceived as racist.

They keep saying how we need to be honest blah blah but if we're going to really be honest Hallmark needs to pull the card because it is now ineffective by being attached to this controversy (which is a non controversy, I never would've heard the story if it wasnt on O&A, its completely silly, it is literally people having an argument about a hallmark card). And then Hallmark cant say "The card isn't racist and we're pulling it because its no longer marketable" they will seem insensative and damage their image.

I really hate when the show tries to get smart, because noone on the show is smart and everyone on the show thinks they're smart. They're not always wrong, but they are always dumb.

It was good listening, but it really shows how childish and self-centered they are when it comes to relationships. I can't wait for the "eternal man-child" thing to go away in our culture. normally i agree but i liked yesterday cuz they were kind of admitting that it's not healthy (jimmy was at least). and ant was saying how he kind of enjoys real intimacy, and how he was a clingy, dependent piece of shit until recently. and they weren't saying that like all women are annoying but just that sometimes you just enjoy being alone and doing your own thing and other people's energy just gets in the way. anyway thats what i got out of it. and a nice image of anthony in his basement with a hip-holster belting out neil diamond to an empty room. I don't think it is going anywhere, I'm afraid there is too much money to be had from adults who spend like children.

You got that right. The difference between Ant's basement and the stereotypical man cave is that he doesn't intend his projection TV to be used to watch the big game. Other than that, it is the same thing.

You don't think it was "brilliant radio" and "amazing"?

The celebrity interviews are always terrible, yet they make the replay every damn time. I can't believe the drivel with Rampage Jackson and Chattanooga Choochoo talking up The A-Team as a great movie made the replay last weekend. It was painful hearing Rampage's partially rehearsed pep talk about the movie.

I don't understand why the celebrity appearances mean so much to them. The show works the best with them all just bullshitting.

Jim is definately a star fucker. I wouldn't be surprised if they play them because they're obligated to, or they think it will help them build relationships or get more guests. As chig said, the show is just best when they're bullshitting. If they replaced every celebrity guest with Colin Quin I would never complain.

They still laugh at "Mike!" everyday like it's the first time. And a hundred other tired same old gags. It's really become a show for whomever is in the studio at the time now, anyway. Far too many visual bits that you have to search out later online or just laughing in studio at youtube or some other video site.

I really just find myself skipping segment after segment more and more because it's either the same old shit, more fucking Bobo, we're better than everyone else in radio self-back patting or just endless race talk.

Their answer will always be "then don't listen" blah blah blah... but that's a cop out.

And God fucking forbid you say "they were better when..."

Well, the problem is... they WERE better then.

And you'll get criticized for that as well, but they'll have no problem shitting on something they thought was great once, but sucks later in it's run. Take for example Jimmy's take on Lost. He has no problem saying how towards the end the writing sucked and the story lines were better in the earlier seasons, but fuck you if you say the same about their show. "That's the beauty of us, we talk a lot of shit and don't do anything about it."

202 as a whole is in it's death throes. They're all only still kicken' because of what they once were. Take it for what it is, better or worse. How much you feel the need to harp on their obvious decline is an indication for how much respect you had for them in their prime.

Have I missed anything on O&A this week? I started listening to Howard in the morning. Hate to admit it but it's a better show. The show actually has some structure and it's funny. Not that O&A can't be funny, I just can't take Ant anymore.

You might end up getting bored with his show if you listen to it everyday. Just like O&A it's very repetitive and he gets stuck in a cycle. He will have the same 5 or 6 guests in once every 3 or 4 weeks. He will talk about the same old shit everyday, American Idol, Jay Leno, Beth and her dumb book, Robin Talk, Calls from the same 4 callers everyday sucking his dick and praising Howard TV (I think they are plants/setup calls.) I listen to his show everyday also and after a while it's predictable just like O&A are sometimes predictable.

On a side note what happend to Norton today? I know he was there then next thing he was gone. Did they say he left for the day or did they not mention it?

Fair enough I like Howard also I was just pointing out that all of these shows get into a little grove and end up talking about the same thing everyday. O&A, R&F, Stern they all do it. If you listen to the same show everyday for years you are able to figure out their rhythm.

What type of insecure faggot won't wear pink? It's just a color.

I also love how Lydia says she had nothing to with dumping the body when she was the fucking mastermind of the operation.

I agree completely, grade school kids act like pink is a girl color. Any grown man who thinks that wearing pink makes you queer is in a state of arrested development and needs to act their age.

I don't wear pink because I don't want to be associated with the type of guys who actually wear pink.

I'm pretty sure it's traditional in blues to borrow from other musicians. I know the last time they did this bit it was acknowledged page asked a guy from spirit if they could use that riff for stairway. The yardbirds also borrowed from Robert Johnson, and I believe both bands list him and others in the credits for these songs. And sabbath makes some fun music, but no one was arguing them vs zep other than Jimmy.
