I thought it was boring, slow, unfunny, and all I could think of is why can't they give the guy a glass of water.

Mamet is one of the greatest playwright/screenwriters of the last fitt-y years. Ron is a great interviewer. I enjoyed it a lot.

Who hates hearing men talk about long and short cons and how that's analogous to dramatic writing??(That nugget alone was worth it) I thought it was excellent, but I'm a fan of RB's interviewing style and Mamet, too.

It was pretty bad. I don't think they should give him the producer job.

The name dropping contest they were having was a bit annoying but it was interesting overall.

I like that interview. Bill Walton on the other hand, was just Walton going off and talking about whatever he felt like talking about -- but that is the way Walton is, nothing Ron did wrong.

I LOVED the Walton interview. But thats probably just the deadhead connection. Walton's a gigantic ginger deadhead legend and I enjoy his rants. I can also see how he could be unbearable to most. I just thought it was really cool how the interview wound up shaping the rest of the whole show. The show was funnier and a bit more "touching" (or something) because of it. I wish the Mountain Man could have sat in for the whole show.

Honestly, I turned the Mamet interview off. So I shouldnt comment. I know he's brilliant and I love his work, but sometimes I just cant hang with R&F sounding like NPR.

It was boring at first. Ron seemed ill-prepared. Once he started shitting on actors, I got more interested. By the time they wrapped up, I was disappointed and wanted to hear more.
