An American construction worker arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of trying to hunt down and kill terror mastermind Osama bin Laden is "not crazy," his brother told CNN Tuesday.

Gary Brooks Faulkner, 50, was detained Monday in the remote mountains of Chitral, once a rumored hiding place of bin Laden, near Afghanistan's Nuristan province, armed with a pistol, dagger, sword and night-vision equipment.

The bearded would-be hitman -- quickly dubbed "the American Ninja" -- in US press reports Tuesday, was believed to be hunting down Al-Qaeda figurehead bin Laden, the subject of a 25-million-dollar bounty offered by the United States.

Honestly, I think there are a lot of people that have the fantasy to hunt down and kill this bastard. Imagine if you could pull it off?

I am sure there are military families that have had loved ones killed in this region because of Bin Laden, and I imagine that there are some families that have trained brothers seeking to avenge there brothers death. I personally think this is very cool.

Wonder why they arrested him? For hunting bin laden? Isn't that what we should be doing?

The article is kinda vague on who actually arrested the guy. Was it Pakistani or American forces that detained him?

Why would they have a multimillion dollar bounty on his head but arrest those who go after it?

One of Ron's people blew their cover.

It's a clever diversion so that Ron's best man (Codename: Ginger Retard) could slip in unnoticed and get the job done right.

It's so obvious now.

It's a reward for information, not a bounty for his head and hands.

According to this (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/7831187/Osama-bin-Laden-hunter-dying-from-kidney-disease.html) article, it is a price on his head.

"Faulkner said he was heading to the eastern Afghan region of Nuristan where he believed bin Laden, who has a $25 million (£16.8 million) price on his head, was hiding."

Well, according to this article (http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm), it's a reward for information.

The Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $25 million for information leading directly to the apprehension or conviction of Usama Bin Laden.

I don't think this guy is after a bounty, but rather a personal reason. Hopefully there are more like him and getting closer to their target all the time, and that Mr Ladin is conscious that there are people eager to meet him.

I'm sure the Pakistani people are very receptive to a white guy with a hunting knife and a pistol.

Sorry, but Bin Laden has done more for his people than the western world ever will. They will not give up one of their own.

I think capturing him would fall under the chacterization of "apprehension". Seriously, with the way things are right now, Im surprised there arent more people out there trying to snag that $25 mill.

Why would that make him crazy?

The only thing I can think of is that they opt to punish people who break a law in their attempt to capture wanted people so as to discourage would-be bounty hunters who would ordinarily go to extremes to get their target. I guess its like, if they know he is holed up in a crowded hotel, they don't explode the hotel because of the innocent people inside as well.

Cool, and not entirely out of the realm of possibility. Richard "shoebomber" Reid and at least one other American was able to show up over there and get to hang with bin Laden....
