What's a good place to stop when making this drive? I go either the NJ Turnpike to the Deleware bridge or take 78 out to the PA Turnpike and go down through Delaware.

Since you are stopping at the rest area for other reasons, may as well enjoy this afterward.

Nifty Fifty's. Great burgers and comfort food, and outstanding milkshakes and malts.
If you are coming down 476, it's like five minutes off of the highway on Route 420 in Folsom. There's a Jersey location near the Turnpike, but it's more like 15 minutes off the highway, I think.

If you don't want to leave the highway, the Chesapeake House rest stop in MD has a Phillips Express for seafood.

This may sound obvious or whatever, but I would eat in New York, then Philly, then in Baltimore, and skip the on the way. Its a pretty short trip.

........The Dog House is only about 3 miles from my house...I was eating Lunch one day and realized the guy next to me at the counter was talking rock n roll and blues...I asked him...are you Jonny neel ? He said yes...I am a Huge Allman Bro,s Band Fan and he Toured with them and wrote some songs for them years ago. He Invited me to a Blues Jam and Benefit for Kids...I had a blast and got to play Harmonica with the allstar blues band he was with.. Very nice guy,he is Blind and plays keyboard and more.his buddy gave me some free CDs. He was Flying to Germany tne next morning and said he tries to stop at the Dog House when he is in town. Small place very good Road/Lunch counter food.

You poisoned the well when you gave him the name in the question.

I drive the NJ Turnpike practically on a daily basis and couldn't remember the last time I ever stopped at a rest area. One day this past winter I decided to stop and get some Roy Rogers chicken because I used to like it way more than KFC.
All I can say is that it is NOT the Roy Rogers we remember. The chicken sucks a dog's ass. I didn't try the burgers and roast beef but I could tell they looked like generic rest stop food. Even the Fixin's Bar is all different. Fuck that bastardized Roy Rogers shit they have now.

If all goes as planned I should be stopping here for dinner.
I want to try a cheese steak and a foot long.
