War of the Worlds

Does anyone remember the mid-late 80's tv show on WPIX called War of the Worlds? It picked up where the 1952 movie(based on the book) left off. Some terrorist attack a nuclearwaste dump site and somehow reanimate the aliens that are now apparently bodysnachers. Something they couldn't do before.

I thought it was a great show, but it got strange towards the end.

The movie is cool
