It is odd. Yesterday when Fez made his "My So Called Life" mistake, Ron choose to mock Fez because of it, knowing that it could push Fez into a crying jag. Ron then started to mock how Fez gets upset when he makes mistakes. This is never funny, it is as bad as the callers making the same unoriginal comments every show.
Just doesn't seem like how a best friend should handle the situation. If he is fed up with the situation, then he should deal with it in a more responsible manner, not by teasing his "best friend."

I had never seen it before. By reputation I thought it would be a little different, less plot driven and more anecdotal. It's listed as like the 10th best comedy on one of those AFI lists, so it isn't just HTG repping it. I think maybe that Arthur is such a put on character, which was more accepted then and not done as much now. If he had done it without all the fake laughing it might've got me a little more.

What's his alternative? This is the only way Fez seems to contribute to the show. If they start talking about something else, Fez will be quiet for 20 minutes, then make a minor mistake and start crying about it.

I think this bulshit simply boils down to this: Human beings, for whatever reason, like to see other human beings fail. The most popular stories in entertainment, politics, sports, etc. involve successful people self-destructing. In most instances, the general population only gets to watch these things happen from afar, reading about them in the newspapers or online, or watching it on TV.

Fezzie gives people the opportunity to actually play a part in ruining someone's life, with just about no backlash risked at all due to the anonymity of the call-in process and these here interwebs. So, these fuckers get to be the coyotes they've instictively always wanted to be and tear someone into a carcass, and then gloat about it to their friends by saying "yeah, my call made the radio host cry".

If the poor bastard really loses it, either by quitting or having a third & final heart attack or if he decides none of it's worth it any more and either steps in front of a subway train or pulls a header out of his Roosevelt Island apt, you think these fools would find it funny? Maybe not, but they'd be the first people to blame Fez or his therapist, or people like me who just see an extremely funny and talented guy having a real-time mental break-fown instigated by assholes.

Yes, the callers are completely and 100% incapable of controlling themselves. Have you ever cracked a joke, and people chuckle at it, except the one person who wants you to say it again, and then brings it up the next time you see them, and even way down the road is still willing to laugh at your joke like you just made it? Those are who these callers are, they're hecklers. That will never change, I think a big part of the radio host or commedian is knowing how to react to that.

I'm glad Ron pointed out the callers arent a single person, that has been driving me nuts.
