Klonopin and alcohol

First off, you shouldn't mix medication and alcohol. I know that.

But here's my scenario.

I'm going out tonight with some people from work to a bar and I promised them I'd go. I'm currently taking 0.5 mg of Klonopin. If I were to sit with a beer and nurse it for the night, would it have any adverse effects?

The Klonopin doesn't make me tired or anything like that. It just mellows out my mood.

.5mg of klonopin isnt shit. It's just a benzo that will take some anxiety away with that small a dosage the only effect will be the alcohol will work faster. One or two beers wont be much different than no klonopin.

Don't worry about adverse affects unless your going to pop a few more and drink more than 5 beers.

Just becareful those benzos are a powerful drug and your a strong man if you can take just .5mg.

I think its cause they have such similar effects. If you drink too much you black out. When I take a lot of klonopin I have the same type of memory loss(Those aren't my greatest moments but I guess the lesson is take things in moderation). Take them together and the black out will come quick.

i will say, im more careful with the amount of beers i drink when i have xanex than when i have like percoset. But either way, what he is taking, a beer or 2 aint gonna do shit

They both work on the same part of the brain that's why they give benzos (Librium) to people who are going through alcohol withdrawals. It all depends on a persons tolerance, you might be able to swing it or you might be all fucked up and all over the place.

Prop Tip- If you have a hangover take a benzo (xanax, klonopin, valium, ativan etc) and you will feel normal as soon as it kicks in since it works on the same part of the brain as alcohol.

I had a guiness and i figured that would be it. But then I had a long island iced tea (I was sitting next to two girls and somehow wound up with one) and then did a shot of something and then went inside to the bar (we had been sitting on the deck the whole night) and ordered two shots for myself and two for a lady next to me.

Good to know about a potential hangover though. I'll partake while at work in the am.

I saw a guy who took Kolonopin, drank one Long Island and he had to be carried out of the bar. My friend was bar tending and he was freaking out because he didn't want to get sued for serving the guy if he died. It affects people differently but its not good to mix alcohol with any pills.

The next night I went to a pool party that a girl I used to work with was throwing and she called me a pussy for drinking a smirnoff(fair enough). So I began double fisting cans of mgd and ended up throwing her into the pool. It was a fun night. I had also had two klonopin before I went.

But I'm taking it easy with them now. They work like a charm for my anxiety and for pain associated with MS, but I'm just trying to grit my teeth as well.

I had to smoke 3 or 4 times till I got the effect from pot. Yayo took about 10 different days trying but on that 10th day the first snort fucking hit me like a ton a glorious bricks (wish I would of stopped trying). Same for klonopin or any of those benzos I think the body takes a few times to actually register a new drug in to the body.
