Re-imagine an old NEW show. Same breaks, guests, games, etc. Hell, even run it live at night. Reach back to the Fez that answered callers first. Jump start the show with some ICP Rip on Bruve Villanche (sp?) (Fez nailed him in the 22-23 Aug., 2001, show). You get the drift.

I just don't understand these books. They seems like they contain barely any mainstream Black rock acts (although that might be the point that no Black rock stars ever make it mainstream)... but didn't the first one not even have Jimi Hendrix in it? And the list of bands he listed other day in studio for Vol. 2 seem to be all unheard of acts (or maybe just heard of in NY). So, why doesn't he call it Black Rock Bands of New York... he obviously has zero scope outside of NY.

Jimi Hendrix was and is covered fairly well in the mainstream media.

And Bad Brains are very well heard of, revered, and come from DC.

Writing about mainstream acts would defeat the point of his project as he described it yesterday.

A really good rule of thumb for philly is if you've heard of it nationally dont go there. Pats, Ginos, Tony Lukes, that mac and cheese oprah woman are all for tourists.
