Anybody know what the hook/scam is with this thing ?
it's the commercial you hear by John Comuda ( sp ?? ) where he wans to send you a cd/dvd to show you how to eliminate your mortgage.
One of the testimonials is " I am going to pay off my mortgage in 2 1/2 years. "
Obvioulsy there's no way that's happening but I'm interested in knowing what the catch is.
Send me $1000 and I'll tell you.

If they advertise on Satellite Radio it's either a shitty product or service.

No need to be the cynical/edgy guy. "Pre-Pass" seems to be on the level. Also, the seasonal ads for flowers, pajamas, etc. are pretty straight-forward.

My understanding of it, from reading a review, is it is basically budget and credit counseling. He tells you basic suggestions for coming up with a family budget, and that you should only have a couple credit cards just for the purpose of maintaining a credit rating (i'm sure he probably mentions paying off the card during every billing cycle at that point so as not to incur finance charges).
Then he tells you to take all the excess money outside your budget and pay down you highest interest debts first and take advantage of any beneficial consolidation offer.
One your debts are paid, he then counsels you on how to invest wisely with small amount (I'm sure he counsels 401ks, money markets, funds), and common sense ways to make supplemental income.
It's all stuff that should seem obvious to people...he's basically just selling common sense advice you can find anywhere.

I wasn't trying to be edgy, Most of the advertisements on Satellite Radio are for garbage products. Fresh Balls, Debt Stuff, Buy Gold, Dick Pills, Porn Companies the list goes on. They aren't pulling in great advertisers.
