Gaea: Beaver or Pussy?

UPDATE: The Bemidji city council has decided it doesn’t matter that the city manager thinks Gaea the beaver has the image of a vagina painted on it, it is art and should be on display.
Gaea, the beaver, has a bunch of supporters in the lovely land of Bemidji, Minnesota, formerly known as the home of giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.

“Gaea,” is painted and depicts forms of the female body and natural elements including a tree and flower. The focal point of the front of the sculpture, located on the belly portion of the beaver, is a human figure rising from a sea of pinkish-red circles.

Some locals consider this to be just too much like a vagina.

City Manager John Chattin last week to order the removal of “Gaea,” created by Blackduck artist Deborah A. Davis.

This and they have all the right to take it down from a public spot. It's not a secret what the artist did here, so put it in ur studio but it is just fucking hideous and stupid. It reminded me of all the cows around NYC and other animals or some bullshit in other cities too. Pure eyesores and just crowded the sidewalks more...especially when the fucking tourists stopped to check them out, put their kids on them and of course take 50 pictures. :wallbash:
